handcuffed during a traffic stop just hours before kickoff. cell phone video you see here shows hill face down on the ground in handcuffs near the dolphin stadium, sources told our sister network, espn. he was pulled over for speeding and got into a verbal altercation with an officer. but this is what hill had to say about that. after the game. >> it wasn't disrespectful, you know, because my mom didn't raise me that way. didn't cuss, didn't do none of that. >> hill was released and went to on play in the game, even scoring a touchdown. another dolphins player, defensive tackle calais campbell, told reporters he was also handcuffed when he tried to deescalate the situation. miami-dade police say they're investigating. well, speaking of football, the 40 niners hosted a free fan rally in san jose ahead of tomorrow night's season opener. south bay football lovers got together to start the hype. former quarterback jeff garcia was even in the event in a rare

rare opportunity to walk, bike, skate and play in the middle of the street. some neighbors in san jose spent the day connecting with others in this unique way. we'll take a look next. >> and we have a cool down on the way. it's all due to the marine layer, which you can see fog over the golden gate bridge. the marine layer will expand and improve or get bigger and thicker over the next couple of days. and that means cooler weather, especially on tuesday.

park. there were food trucks and vendors, along with live music for people to enjoy. >> the purpose is to give you a sense of community to connect with your community and your neighbors, and to experience areas of san jose that you might not experience when you're in your car. >> today was the third and final viva cal of the year when it returns. next year it will be the 10th anniversary of this popular open streets event. all right. francis joining us now. looking behind us. i mean, no fog to be seen. yeah. >> not behind us, but there's quite a bit of fog at the golden gate bridge. and we'll see more fog over the next couple of days. here's a look at live doppler seven satellite radar image. most of the clouds off to the coast. we had plenty of sunshine. was gorgeous day for all the outdoor events. and here's some of that fog. as you can see from sutro looking towards the golden gate bridge and mount tam. there in the background, temperatures are on the cool side of course, if you're at the beaches like half moon bay, 59 degrees, san francisco 65 right now, but everywhere else with plenty of sunshine. it was really
5:18 pm
comfortable and mild in oakland right now. at 75, hayward 81, san jose 88 degrees. redwood city really nice at 81 degrees, and this time from mount tam. we are looking south towards the bay bridge and the bay. santa rosa 93, napa 86. so we're still seeing some mid to even upper seconds. fairfield 98. temperatures actually warmed up a little bit today, but that will change for tomorrow. here's the futurecast animation. so we're going to see these clouds start to expand overnight. and then tomorrow morning we'll wake up to some low clouds and fog in the areas where you see these pops of green. that is possibly drizzle, especially as you are closer along the coast. we could see some in the valleys too. in parts of the north bay, and then notice we'll get more sunshine again. but then monday evening we'll start to see the fog move inland into tuesday morning. so tonight temperatures will drop into generally the 50s for everyone in the north bay. it's low 50s 52 in santa rosa and napa and san rafael. and then
5:19 pm
we'll see some mid 50s around the bay, like san francisco, francisco and oakland and san mateo. a little bit milder, though, in antioch, livermore and san jose, where we'll see some low 60s. so again, expect some drizzle there near some of the beaches and closer to the coastline. tomorrow's numbers are going to come down just a touch. so because of that marine layer and that sea breeze. expect highs to be in the mid 80s in the north bay. santa rosa, 84 in napa and san rafael. and then look for oakland to be 74 san jose. still with that sunshine 85 degrees. we'll see some low 90s inland, but that's really going to change starting on tuesday, i'm going to show you what it looks like in livermore. the average high is 87. so tomorrow 93 we're still above average even though we're cooling down. but then we'll really drop on tuesday and wednesday. we'll have this area of low pressure that comes through, and that's going to increase the sea breeze. and that's going to usher in some
5:20 pm
much cooler marine air for the inland neighborhoods. so the 90s are gone starting on tuesday. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so still another beautiful day tomorrow. mild to warm. but temperatures really tumble. we'll see many areas come down by 5 to 10 degrees. but at the beaches all week long it's going to be mainly in the mid 60s. it pops up a little bit on friday, then gradual cooling for next weekend. >> i think this is good football watching weather. i know you two are hooked on it, right? >> that's what you were doing before the show. >> not answer. hey all right. >> well, as great as opening sunday in the nfl was today, and you heard that from deion and francis, it's going to be even better tomorrow because finally we get to see the san francisco 40 niners. big questions though on how much brandon aiyuk and trent williams will play what coach has to say

24 hours from now. you can see the countdown on the screen, and you can see every moment of tomorrow night's game right here on abc seven. the two guys who just signed new big contracts are both expected to play, that being brandon aiyuk and trent williams. aiyuk should be fine. the big question is how much offensive tackle trent williams will be able to go. he's one of the most important guys on the team because his job is to keep quarterback brock purdy from getting sacked, head coach kyle shanahan says williams will probably play a lot, in part because it's weird to see him
5:24 pm
out of the game. >> we'll see. i'd like him to, but it's you got to you got to watch it. we got to talk to him. it's always i haven't done this too much with a tackle. you know, those are little o-linemen are different with rotating and stuff like skill positions and everything, but it also seems weird to just watch trent sitting on the sideline next to us. but that's something we'll be on top of throughout the game, and he'll be honest with us and how he feels. and i know chris will be watching that a ton. >> one more reminder. we've got the 40 niners and jets live from levi's stadium here on monday night. we'll have all the highlights and interviews after the game. i will be live in our 4 p.m. show prior to the game. our official pregame starts at 5:00, kickoff at 515 here on abc seven. now i've gotten messages from friends saying, what is going on with the kickoffs? there are new kickoff rules this season in the nfl, designed to keep guys from slamming into each other at full speed. protect them a little bit. you can see there's a designated landing zone, among other details, and this is the first time we've seen a kickoff return for a touchdown with the new

rules. arizona's dj dallas goes 96 yards through buffalo to the end zone, but the cardinals lost to the bills 3428. i have to sa, it's a bit of a weird feeling watching kickoffs like this, but it is now in place, so we got to get used to it. all right, sparky, having a good time running around in san diego. giants and padres finishing their series fourth inning. we go man on for matt chapman. that ball is out of here. this teams team leading 23rd homer of the year. it's two nothing. three batters later gerard encarnacion towering drive to left. it's five nothing giants and the very next man up a man by the name of luis matos. yes. that baby is gone too. the first time the giants have hit three homers in an inning in exactly one year. and then they hang on for dear life at the end of this thing. but they win 7 to 6. a's and tigers, we go. erik burns throws the ceremonial first pitch. tries as hard as he can. he tumbles off the mound. okay, back to the highlights. tigers
