13mph. that will help the firefighters. and then over the next 24 hours, the winds will die down overnight. so very little wind. also good news between 5 to 0mph during the early morning hours to tomorrow morning. but notice the winds pick up tomorrow and that's because temperatures and the sea breeze will increase. temperatures will actually come down over the next couple of days. but what will be challenging is tuesday night into wednesday, even though temperatures come down dramatically, the winds really pick up on tuesday into wednesday and wednesday into thursday. so that will be a factor for the firefighters over the next couple days. john. all right. >> something we will continue to watch. also let's talk about another major wildfire burning in the state. a brush fire fueled by hot temperatures and dry conditions in southern california has just exploded in size. the lion fire in san bernardino county has now scorched more than 17,000 acres, with zero containment. tim caputo, from our sister station in los angeles, joins us now

from the town of mentone, where an evacuation order was issued just this afternoon. >> that evacuation order for this area went into effect just about two hours ago. kind of an interesting twist in the weather from the last time we spoke just about 30 minutes ago. yes, it's raining outside at the moment, but check out the wind. it was fairly stagnant at 430 this afternoon in just the last 2020 five minutes, the rain has picked up and the wind has picked up. you mentioned this area was put under that evacuation order just about two hours ago. many of these folks grabbing all their things and leaving, and you could understand why. off in the distance, it's kind of tough to see through that haze at the moment, but the majority of this fire is in the san bernardino national forest, kind of beyond those hills. the concern for this particular neighborhood that has come up just in the last 2 or 3 hours or so, is some of the flames we've seen kind of reach the peak of the mountain there? i know it's tough to see at the moment, and especially with the wind kind of moving the fire around. but off the top there, you might see a little bit of those flames on this side of the mountain. certainly concern. we're only about 2 or 3

miles away from the foothills down to these homes that that flame and those fires could reach these homes here. now, they've been battling and containing this fire, trying to at least since thursday afternoon, now at 17,000 acres, it has grown exponentially over the past day. and a half, especially because of the hot weather that we've been seeing. highs in the 100 degree plus mark. and obviously today with the winds increasing, adding another little wrinkle to firefighters efforts out here, certainly with 0% containment, there is a concern where exactly this fire will spread to these evacuation orders have spread over the last day or so, including the folks living in this neighborhood here who tell me they're ready to go. >> i got my truck with, you know, just some important things other than that, took my motorcycle out here. that was important. but other than that, you know, it's no big deal. >> as for the folks in this area, between the evacuation orders and the poor air quality here, the local school district has already canceled classes for monday in san bernardino county. tim caputo, abc seven news.

>> taking those preemptive measures. a third wildfire is burning in the mountains of fresno county. this is near coalinga today. helicopters flew crews into remote areas of the so-called boone fire. firefighters are dealing with extreme heat now. they expect cooler temperatures, though in the coming days. the fire started on tuesday in the mountains of fresno county and has burned nearly 28mi■!s and is 24% contained. there are some evacuation orders. no structures have been damaged. well, turning now to a celebration of community in oakland today, the 14th annual oakland pride parade and festival took over downtown streets. >> you can hear so much of the music, so much of the cheering from the people out here. >> all your troubles kind of melt away when you're here at pride. happy pride. >> abc seven brought you exclusive live streaming coverage. our own cornell bernard has highlights of the big parade celebrating diversity and inclusion. coming up. i want

half moon bay, though, has been cool in the 50s. and check out how beautiful it is from mount tam as we look south. so clear skies over the rest of the bay area except right along the coastline. so temperatures did warm up quite a bit. in fact, in santa rosa it's still 93 degrees. petaluma and napa at 83, fairfield 97 and then mid 90s in concord and livermore. this is a view from our sky star camera. this is in fisherman's wharf. and as it goes around through the ferris wheel i'll give you the highlights. so tonight we'll see areas of fog even some drizzle overnight tomorrow morning. and then in the afternoon it will be sunny with mild to warm temperatures. once again, they might be just a couple degrees cooler compared to today. then get ready tuesday through midweek. it will be breezy and much cooler. temperatures are really going to drop, especially for inland neighborhoods. so overnight we'll find temperatures generally in the 50s in the

north bay, low 50s, we could see some fog developing through the north bay valleys. 52 in santa rosa, napa 53 then lots of mid 50s all around the bay, san francisco, san mateo right around 55 degrees, but then milder. san jose 62, livermore 60. in antioch 61. so temperatures tomorrow will still range. we'll get a lot of sunshine, but at the beaches, that's where we'll see the clouds. so half moon bay, only 64, san francisco 68. and then we'll hit the low 90s instead, some of the mid 90s that we saw today that is going to change as we jump ahead to tuesday. notice the 90s disappear from the inland neighborhoods. in fact, the warmest spots will just be in the mid 80s for fairfield, antioch, 83 and then around the bay. we'll see lots of 70s. so the 80s disappear from the bay and that's because the sea breeze will pick up. we'll see an area of low pressure dropping down from the gulf of alaska. and this will bring a strong onshore flow. winds will be

lot, in part because it's weird to see him out of the game. >> we'll see. i'd like him to, but it's, you got to you got to watch it. we got to talk to him. it's always i haven't done this too much with a tackle. you know, those are little o-linemen are different with rotating and stuff like skill positions and everything, but it also seems weird to just watch trent sitting on the sideline next to us, but that's something we'll be on top of throughout the game, and he'll be honest with us and how he feels. and i know chris will be watching that a ton. >> it is a bit weird, coach. >> well, with the start of the new season, maybe we'll stop seeing this video. let's hope so. it's the 40 niners walking off the field after losing the super bowl in vegas to the chiefs. what a tough night that was. the patriots are the only team this century who have lost a super bowl and then won it. the next season. the 40 niners are trying to become the second. espn's ryan clark says we're looking at this the wrong way, considering how hard it is just to get to a super bowl. >> i think we always start to look at those sorts of statistics and say to ourselves,

kickoffs like this, but the new rule is now in place, so we got to get used to it a little. sparky having a good time running around in san diego giants and padres finishing their series fourth inning. we go man on for matt chapman that ball is out of here. his team leading 23rd homer of the year. it's two nothing. three batters later, gerard encarnacion with a towering drive to left field. it's five nothing giants and the very next man up. how about him luis matos? yes, that baby's gone too. the first time the giants have hit three homers in an inning in exactly one year. and then they hang on for dear life and yes, they did. they win 7 to 6. a's and tigers eric burns throws the ceremonial first pitch. he tried hard here but just tumbled off the mound like bruh, what's going on man? tigers put this game away with five consecutive hits in the eighth, including three doubles. takes it from a31 game to a91 game in a matter of minutes. a's
