$50 million bail denied. hip hop mogul sean diddy combs remains in jail in new york after a court appearance that included more details on the long list of crimes he is accused of committing. good evening. i'm ama daetz and i'm dan ashley. >> thanks for joining us. combs is expected back in court tomorrow afternoon, but tonight he's being held in a special housing unit in brooklyn. according to law enforcement officials. >> reporter jim dolan, with our sister station in new york city, has more on the case. >> his family left court today

without sean combs. the rap mogul offered to post an astounding $50 million bond. but the judge said combs was too dangerous, his behavior too violent, and she ruled that combs must stay behind bars. >> combs abused, threatened and coerced victims to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct. >> mr. combs is a fighter. he's going to fight this to the end. he's innocent. >> yo. cause it ain't. >> 54 year old sean combs was at the apex of the entertainment world, the owner of a vast empire that spanned music and clothing and lifestyle products. but it all began to crumble this year when a former girlfriend sued combs for sexual abuse and coercion. cnn aired this tape of combs appearing to beat the girlfriend and drag her. last night, combs was arrested, and today charged in a blistering three count indictment, kidnaping, arson, a laundry list of crimes and all of this to

engage in days long that he called freak offs. >> combs allegedly planned and controlled the sex performances, which he called freak offs, and he often electronically recorded them. the freak offs sometimes lasted days at a time, involved multiple commercial sex workers and often involved a variety of narcotics, such as ketamine, ecstasy, and ghb. which combs distributed to the victims to keep them obedient and compliant. >> we're going to win this trial. we're going to win this trial because he's innocent. >> the feds raided combs homes and found drugs, sex paraphernalia, and these three ar 15 rifles with their serial numbers etched out. >> he was very, very, very close to a billionaire at one point. >> damien scott is an editor for billboard magazine. he says even though combs was a hip hop kingmaker at one time, he's all alone now. >> the charges that have been brought against him are so

heinous, and i think it would be tough for people to stand next to him at this at this point in time. >> combs entered a not guilty plea today, and his lawyer says they will appeal the decision that keeps him in jail and a hearing on that is scheduled for tomorrow. but he is spending tonight in federal custody. and if he's convicted on all counts, he could be there for the rest of his life in lower manhattan. jim dolan, channel seven news. that's great. >> we'll continue to follow that story, of course. organizers in san francisco are gearing up for day two of the biggest artificial intelligence event in the world. >> it is dreamforce. that is exciting. how about that? are we excited to be at dreamforce? >> salesforce ceo marc benioff welcomed an international crowd of thousands to dreamforce, the company's annual tech conference at moscone center. about 45,000 people are expected to attend

about their concerns during public comment. the proposed ban would prohibit rvs and oversize vehicles from parking on city managed streets from midnight until 6 a.m. can't stay overnight. it would also allow the city to tow vehicles violating the ban, but only after offering shelter first. the proposal still needs approval from sfmta's board of directors. >> san francisco mayor london breed joined us on abc7 news at 3 p.m. today. she spoke about the city's ongoing effort to curb homelessness. well, now that we have the ability to implement the law, no sleeping, no lying, no camping on the streets of san francisco. >> when we go out there with our encampment teams, we are offering a place for people to go. we're offering services and support and we do have a number of people who are rejecting those services, mostly because they suffer from substance use disorder. they have some level of addiction, and it's complicated. so we're putting together the resources. but what we are doing now is just not letting things happen the way

automatically to tens of millions of under 18 accounts. it also makes it difficult for teenagers to change their age or make a new account on the same device. >> a wildfire that's been burning for several days in southern california is now 31% contained. that's the word from cal fire tonight on the airport fire. it's grown to about 23,000 acres today. staff with the san francisco spca transported dozens of animals out of shelters in orange county. as abc seven news reporter lauren martinez explains, it's a hand. it's a handoff that could ultimately save the lives of even more animals. >> the sf spca is rescuing more than 60 animals from southern california. the airport fire burning in orange and riverside counties, has now been burning for more than a week on tuesday, the sf spca transported in cats and dogs from orange county shelters. hey babies! hi kids! >> we go by the tails. >> you could hear tails wagging with joy. ann mueller is the

chief of rescue and welfare. >> hi sweetheart. >> with this effort, moellering said shelters in orange county can now free up space for pets directly displaced by the wildfire. >> right now, they have 837 animals, so they have over 300 more than they normally have. the local shelter needs to be empty, so we empty the local shelter and take those animals here to adopt them out so that the fire victims have somewhere to go by working together between one region and another. >> this emergency operation is saving animals lives. some of the cats and dogs transported to the bay area otherwise would have been considered for euthanasia. it's critical the state of california is in the middle of a huge overpopulation issue, which has a lot of reasons behind it, one of which is that during covid so many people adopted animals. >> at the same time, spay neuter availability was not there. >> staff say these cats and dogs will be ready to be adopted or fostered within a week. >> i'm really proud of the way

california shelters are working together to help out in times of disasters and crisis. in san francisco. >> lauren martinez, abc seven news. >> a big move is underway for a san rafael wildlife hospital and nature education center. wild care first opened in the 1950s and treats up to 4000 injured or orphaned animals every year. they do amazing work. they're moving to a temporary home while their original location goes through a major renovation, which means carefully packing up and moving the animals to their transitional home. >> it's time for us to have a facility that matches the work that we do day to day here at the wildlife hospital and through our nature education programs. >> the renovations will take about two years and cost $24 million raised through private donations. now the facility is moving 70 years worth of stuff to their temporary location, including lab equipment and surgical supplies and so much more. wild care will not take on
