charges while he appeals the judge's no bond ruling. a houston law firm is scheduled to hold a press conference tomorrow to present accusations against combs by more than 50 clients. allegedly, men, women and minors. these new accusers joining a widening group with similar horrifying allegations, all denied by the grammy winner. here's my nightline co-anchor, byron pitts. yeah, hold that one. >> the case against sean combs might as well just be called the freak offs. these allegedly illegal freak offs, it's all about the freak offs in one way, shape or form. >> freak offs? freak offs. freak. freak. >> the freak offs sometimes lasted days at a time. >> prosecutors say that these were elaborately produced events bringing lighting in cameras, linens. >> prosecutors said he would during these freak offs, and women had no choice. >> alleged drug fueled, prostitution and a cover up.

>> flashbacks, nightmares and intrusive thoughts. make me feel like it's a constant struggle. >> attorneys for diddy did not respond to a request for comment on this case in court, as he has faced criminal charges. diddy, pleading not guilty and denied bail twice. prosecutors painting a picture of the 54 year old mogul who, behind his lavish lifestyle, allegedly hit a dark secret. >> according to the indictment, the agents found weapons, including ar 15 style rifles in diddy's closet. the serial numbers were defaced. they also say they found recordings of fricatives and the evidence was then used to blackmail these women if they didn't cooperate more. >> diddy's longtime ex-girlfriend cassandra cassie ventura, filing a lawsuit against him last year that changed everything.

wrongdoing, but after the surveillance video surfaced, he spoke out on his social media. >> my behavior on that video is inexcusable. i take full responsibility for my actions in that video. >> diddy's defense team giving a preview of their version of what was happening behind the scenes. >> the defense has tried to recast not as evidence of sex trafficking, but as the simple breakdown of a ten year loving relationship and the judge interrupted and said, what's love got to do with that with kicking someone? >> cassie's lawsuit would be just the beginning of diddy's downfall. it was settled in 24 hours, but at least 11 others have since come forward to with their own civil lawsuits. diddy denies the allegations in these lawsuits. many are seeing echoes of the groundbreaking federal sex abuse case against r&b singer r kelly and diddy's new

indictment. >> this very powerful man in the music industry decided to use his power to hurt others. i've spoken to the other girls that are involved in my case, and we all were deeply saddened and triggered. >> lizette martinez says she had a year long abusive relationship with r kelly. >> let's just say like i was violated and it. >> after dozens came forward, kelly was found guilty of racketeering, sex trafficking and later child. he's currently serving out a 30 year prison sentence. lizette gave a victim impact statement at his trial. >> the industry is not the same. after we spoke out and decided to hold people accountable. him and rob are a lot alike in that robert controlled us. these are predators that dangling a career in front of you. they use the

power to get you to where they want you. >> for now, diddy remains in jail as he awaits trial. decades of silence that accusers say once shielded the kingmaker. broken. >> i'm extremely proud of the women and men. so i'm not going to sit here and say that, you know, the trial is going to be easy. it's not. >> federal prosecutors say their work is not done. >> i can't take anything off the table. anything is possible. our investigation is very active and ongoing. >> when you hear about so many other people having to participate for this enterprise to exist, the first thing that comes to my mind is, is who's going to take a plea first? who's going to start testifying against sean combs? >> in a statement to impact an attorney for diddy said we are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of mr. combs. sean diddy combs is a music icon, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has

>> welcome back. millions of people across the southeast are scrambling to salvage whatever they can after the devastating flooding and mudslides unleashed by hurricane helene. it left some areas with apocalyptic damage. homes washed away entire communities without clean water, gas or cell service. as floodwater continues to cover roads and highways, the death toll climbing and the situation for many increasingly desperate. here's abc's faith abubey >> this has been nothing like i've ever seen before. nothing that i've ever been through. and i've been around the world. it's

armageddon. it really is. >> most days, asheville, north carolina, is a city known for its thriving music scene. today, it's deafening silence. >> we're in limbo. we don't have anything to do. we can't get into the building and do anything until the water recedes, which you can see it's receded. now. >> can you take me through? and so i can look around and see what. >> welcome to the guitar bar. >> well, what was the guitar part? right mark goldthwaite has owned the asheville guitar bar for eight years. but when the flood waters from hurricane helene roared in, he says it cost him everything he worked so hard to build. the water inundating the historic downtown building, reaching a foot above the highest windows. >> the brick building itself was built in 1889. it survived the 1916 flood here. this building will stay here, i guarantee you that. it didn't move. you know. but everything inside is totally destroyed. wow >> it's been four days since

hurricane helene began its rampage across the u.s. mainland, tearing through parts of florida, georgia and western north carolina in its wake. scenes like this utter devastation. authorities say at least 132 people are confirmed dead across six states. hundreds more are still unaccounted for. >> there are 92 rescue teams out working, doing search and rescue right now. we're dealing with a situation that is unlike anybody's ever seen in western north carolina today, more than 1.7 million customers still without power lines for fuel more than a mile long. >> the need for the basics to live like water and food growing more desperate by the minute, a massive effort now underway to get relief into the area. the national guard mobilizing troops and flying in heavy equipment from states as far away as new

york and connecticut, civilian pilots in hickory, north carolina, using their own helicopters to fly in supplies think hurricane katrina, except in the mountains and with helicopters, not boats, keep them coming, guys. the hardest hit areas in western north carolina, with asheville seeing some of the most severe damage. high winds and floodwaters creating a city of debris along this road. household items and tractor trailers piled up high. this one up in the trees, wrapped in power lines, and the force of the floodwaters so strong that it pushed what appears to be a cow or a horse underneath that one. in nearby boone, one family's garage and three cars instantly wiped out by a river of mud cascading down the hill. >> everything is gone. it's all gone. it's okay. >> parts of interstate 40 shut down sections of the highway, nearly eroded by flooding. president biden vowing to travel

to the impacted areas later on this week. >> i want them to know we're not leaving until the job is done. my first responsibility is to get all the help needed to those impacted areas. excuse me, i expect to be there later this week. >> for mark, this place was much more than just a music bar. it was a community. looking around you is just destruction. how are you holding it together? >> well, maybe i'm not. you know, it's tough. >> and in the aftermath, his beloved business hit by looters. >> i was here last night to protect the place. the police made me leave because of a curfew. and obviously, i was breached last night again. so the only window and door that really functionally worked in this building was smashed out last night for looters >> for many business owners her, the slow and steady attempt to rebuild what's left now begins.
