on the events that led police to recently detain and question san jose city council member omar torres. investigators still haven't acknowledged the nature of the investigation, but an unsealed search warrant affidavit implicates torres in a minor. he was questioned by investigators on october 3rd at city hall, although he was never taken into cusdy investigation has the union that represents dozens of san jose's police officers callinor torres to resign immediately. >> everyone has their day in court. that's a separate issue, but to be able to effectively govern downtown and have that type of hold for the city, think we're goin somebody else that t that that's recoverable.ors den, retaliation. he went to police back in august to report he was being extorted by a man chicago. torres attorneys issued a statement today that says, in part, quote, the content referenced in the affidavit pertains solely to private communications between adults of
