and downed trees. good morning everybody. it's saturday, november 23rd. pretty remarkable images from yesterday. >> yeah. and thank goodness we're getting a break. we still have a level one system that will be with us for the morning hours. and then we get sunshine. so throughout the north bay this morning, a few scattered light showers, a slick roadways anywhere from 5/100 to maybe a 10th. and there is a look at the atmospheric river. well to the south and east of us, and we're seeing some showers here up to the north bay around lakeport and also hopland, 101 geyserville. this is the area that we certainly don't need any more rain. sonoma still has a flood warning through the 9:00 hour and around sears point highway 37. so right now it is 52 in vallejo, 50 in fremont with 48 in sonoma. it's a cooler morning. south winds are behind us, so we are definitely about 13 degrees cooler over in our inland valleys along the coast today, just mid to upper seconds with plenty of cloud cover. but

driving to their holiday destinations. people are leaving earlier this year, with many choosing to head out on tuesday and coming back on monday to avoid major traffic. it also may not cost you as much to fill up your tank this year, according to the national average for gas, this is a technically $3.05 this year for an unleaded gallon, that's over $0.20 lower than it was last year. and as you're planning your travel into thanksgiving week, especially if you're planning to leave on tuesday, as we just mentioned, lisa is tracking more moisture coming this week. >> not much though. we went from 24% of average tuesday in san francisco to 300, 118% of average. wow. and in santa rosa, 364% of average, with over 15in of rain. so san francisco picking up three and a third inches and santa rosa. you heard about it 15.30in of rain. so

look at the sunny skyline here. that's what it's going to be like this afternoon. this morning a few light showers. level one system less than 5/100 with the slick roadways and some minor flooding still up in the north bay, atmospheric river is way out of here and we're just looking at some scattered showers you can see up in the north bay here, tracking them for you from anywhere up towards guerneville and around penngrove north of novato. highway one, a few light showers, but the rest of us quiet and will continue to stay that way. but each and every day for the next several days. still a chance of showers as low pressure hangs off the coast. so a flood warning from jenner through guerneville. we've got the russian river that is above flood stage, which is at 32ft, cresting at about 34.9. and that's going to take some time to recede. so a lot of roads still closed up in the north bay. so do be careful.

6:15 am
still partly cloudy with some sun throughout the rest of the day. the next system is going to head to the south of us. this is monday and we're looking at a few showers, but as we get into monday night and tuesday, the bulk of the activity will not be in the bay area today and tomorrow. rainfall potential here expected anywhere from nothing to about 5/100 to maybe a 10th up in the north bay. our winter storm warning for the west slopes, the greater lake tahoe area, looking at feet above 7000ft. but if you get down by lake level, 5500, we're still only looking at two to maybe 10 or 11in as we get that colder air in place. could be more because it is snowing there right now. 60 in concord. look for the low 60s today in san jose. the accuweather seven day forecast level one system today and again tomorrow. and light amounts less than a 10th of an inch, maybe a little more on monday. showers continue tuesday. we're dry wednesday, thanksgiving and the day after. >> all right lisa, thank you.
