the embarcadero, check out the forecast headlines overt partial clearing and chilly. that's the case right now. in fact, it's quite clear right now, not just partially clear. tomorrow we'll have morning showers giving way to steadier, more widespread rain in the afternoon. and for the week ahead, rain early in the week but dry for thanksgiving, which i presume is good news. the approaching storm for tomorrow is a light level one storm on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale. so again, we'll see showers in the early morning hours, more widespread rain, steadier rain in the afternoon, winds out of the south southeast about 5 to 15mph. we're not talking about powerful gusts, and less than about a 10th of an inch of rainfall, all total. here's the forecast animation starting at midnight. notice how clear it's going to be for most of the overnight hours. we'll have a few clouds coming in. then by about 6 a.m, we'll see the first round of scattered showers pushing into the north bay. then by midday by noon or so, we'll see more widespread rainfall, steadier rain hitting all parts of the bay

area. but again, it will be mainly a light rainfall event except for parts of the north bay. by 11:00 tomorrow night, most places will have rainfall totals under a 10th of an inch. but the farther north you go, the wetter it will be. up at clear lake, nearly a quarter of an inch is likely, and over at ukiah, over a third of an inch. oh, and on we go to overnight low temperatures, generally in the mid 40s, but up in the north bay, chillier with a low of 39. in santa rosa, 41. cloverdale 42 at napa. highs tomorrow right around or just above 60 degrees in most locations. a little chillier up north, where highs will reach only 56 at napa, 57 at santa rosa. and here is the accuweather seven day forecast. three consecutive days of light level one rain activity, storm activity coming. our way. rainy and chilly on monday. little change on tuesday, but on wednesday we'll have mainly sunny skies and thursday. thanksgiving day will be thankful for dry weather for the holiday and then going into next weekend, we'll see partly cloudy skies. it'll be relatively cool. daytime highs only in the upper 50s
11:21 pm
for the most part, but it looks like a pretty decent week ahead, especially since the rainfall we're going to get is expected to be mainly light. and of course, the soil is saturated right now, so light rain, even three days in a row could be a complicating factor, but we don't expect any severe flooding or anything like that. >> i know this is a broad question, but are we at the rain totals that we would like to see at this time of year, given the storm we are way ahead of the average amount of rain for this time of the year, which can be good in terms of you know, making up any kind of rainfall deficit we might have experienced in the earlier months. >> but it's also, you know, complicating if we have flooding and all kinds of problems. >> yes, all of the compounding issues. >> exactly. >> all right. well, still ahead tonight on abc seven news at 11, maybe a good old fashioned letter will land you on santa's nice list. the special event today in the bay area. and when
