holiday in his native new york city, but not in the way he hoped. a judge has determined the accused sex trafficker needs to stay locked up, in part due to what the judge called his propensity for violence. sean diddy combs is spending thanksgiving behind bars after a judge denied bail for the music mogul. the judge saying it's too risky to release combs, citing among other things, this video obtained by cnn showing him attacking his then girlfriend cassie ventura in a hotel hallway. the defense claims the video was doctored, but the judge ruled even the version submitted by diddy's team shows undeniable violence. combs is awaiting trial on dozens of federal crimes, including human trafficking. he's pleaded not guilty. his lawyers requested a $50 million bail, asking for combs to be released on house arrest. with 24 over seven security in his new york apartment. but prosecutors pushing back, citing new evidence that former staff members have described the defendant threatening to kill them, throwing objects at them and being struck, punched and

the north pole. but that tradition of magic lives on 105 magical thankful years later, all to get this party started it's a turkey day tradition, older than bean casserole, a three hour extravaganza serving up holiday magic in the streets of philly, swapping santa in for rocky when the parade wraps up on the steps of the philadelphia art museum. >> santa is timeless and regardless of the cookies he eats, he is always in great shape. if he's circling the globe in one night, he can certainly make his way up the museum steps. >> touted as america's very first thanksgiving day parade, it began in 1920 with just 15 cars and of course, jolly old saint nick starting as a gift to orphaned and disabled children from the famed gimbels department store. it also helped promote the start of the holiday shopping season. back then, chimneys were child's play for santa's, shimmying up a 100 foot fire truck ladder into the

window of gimbels toyland. the parade marched on through the great depression and world war two, and with each passing decade, another hearty helping of thanksgiving star power from president eisenhower and the first lady to an up and coming soap star named kelly ripa, this is the parade i watched every year. but in 1986, gimbels was sold in the parade almost came to an end. thankfully, our friends at six abc, who had been covering the event for 20 years, we are back now, stepped up and took over. >> we knew we could put a parade on television. we didn't know how to put a parade together though, and have been doing it ever since. holiday. it's a holiday holiday now. >> it's celebrating its 105th year with six. abc's rick williams and cecily tynan back to host along with our own sam champion. there's just no better way to kick off the holiday season than with the parade that started it all. once upon a time, marilyn monroe also
