9:51 am
be a sprinkle along the diablo range. certainly not out of the question as this system lifts out of the bay area. but you know, we could use a little bit of mixing out there because we have a spare the air alert, we've got the sunshine here from our east bay hills camera. it is 53 downtown, a mild 59 in oakland, 54 in san jose and redwood city's in the 50s. look at the 60s from redwood city to half moon bay. very mild out there. the winds are light here , but we get that light offshore flow and that pulls in that tule fog from the central valley. and it really just drains into the valleys of the east bay. so still dealing with some fog there it is 46. you notice where the clouds are the coolest temperatures up in the north bay. 50 napa 45 by the delta. so compared to 24 hours ago, that cloud cover has insulate us and we have woken up to many 40s and 50s. and now the 60s are there. so that fog taking its time to dissipate a lot like yesterday, leaving that moisture in the air, the lid on the atmosphere
9:52 am
making for hazy conditions, a stagnant air mass really for the next several days, over two mile visibility. right now, concord walnut creek is a little hazy and there's a look at the air quality, which will stay moderate to good throughout the day today and tomorrow. so even when we get that breeze, it has to come from the right direction , right? it has to come from the west. if it comes from the east, then it's just bringing in the cold air. the moisture. and as we look at our forecast headlines, we have the sprinkles and the fog for the morning hours than today, tomorrow, a spare the air alert could be extended into the next several days. is our weather pattern really stays put with high pressure in control, allowing for the storm systems to go up and over a big ridge of high pressure. so clearing out a bit for a partly cloudy day today. for sunday, very mild conditions that continues into mostly sunny for monday. that again for tuesday. and as we look at the forecast here for the next several days in san jose, the average high 59. look where we
9:53 am
are. 70s pretty much across the board with plenty of sunshine, a few clouds from time to time by the end of the week. so interesting phenomenon we always hear about the lake effect snow in western new york and temperatures very typical upper 20s for the game today. but we are looking at the snow. a lot of it came yesterday and it is on the ground a half a foot to several feet here. but still a few areas of snow throughout the next couple of hours, and certainly a game time as that colder air moves across the unfrozen great lakes. and so that picks up the moisture, dumps it over into western new york and orchard park, where the stadium is, is not one of the snowiest locations, but they still have snow and it will be cold and windy. 67 in fremont today, 64 in vallejo. so very mild. look at the 70s. we talked about that in the south bay upper 60s in santa rosa with some sun coming through the clouds. but in the next couple of hours, the accuweather seven
