shuzo is planning to ferment sake ingredients in the international space station. it hopes the difference in gravity could affect the fermentation process. if it works, the company plans to sell a 100 milliliter bottle for $653,000. come on. >> good luck. i think that's if my math is right. i think that's like 3.5oz or something. i mean, it's very little. >> yes, not a lot, but i love sake. i just would not pay that much for it. i think that's marketing gimmick. >> yeah. that seems like a it might be a little bit high. >> a little bit high amount of money. can i just go to space and make my own up there in a few years? >> if elon has his way, you'll be doing just that. so do you guys prefer cold sake or hot sake? i like hot, but the fancier sake is supposed to be served cold. >> yeah, i don't really drink, so i'm not part of this crowd. larry. all right. >> sorry. probably room temperature. hot sake is. i would prefer. >> i like it cold, i mean, hot.
4:41 pm
i don't mind either, but cold i would prefer. >> okay. all right. your bill is $653,000 here. >> not including tip. >> don't forget the tip. yeah, yeah. something that has been brewing in the beer world finally has taken place. michelob ultra has overtaken bud light as the most popular beer on tap at bars. this comes after bud light fell to third place at grocery and convenience stores. bud light's popularity began waning following a boycott that was sparked by a social media promotion featuring a transgender influencer. so the thing that confuses me is that if i'm going to a bar and i'm looking for a craft beer, i'm not going to pick either one of those unless i really, really want something light. sandy, i'd ask you, but i know, i know what the answer is going to be. >> so sorry. >> don't ask me, larry. >> okay, well, you know, what happened in terms of the backlash really is stunning. yeah, i'm sure for many companies, a cautionary tale. it's a shame that the reaction was so strong like that, but they really paid a price for
4:42 pm
that. but you're right. i'm not sure if you're looking for a craft beer. i don't know that you'd pick either one of those, but if you're looking for kind of a reasonably reasonably priced draft beer, i suppose they're both good choices. yeah. >> and michelob ultra has the low calories. so for people that are looking for that, karina, you have a choice. >> uh- no, i would rather do like wine or soquel's you take the socket. yeah, go with the socket. >> karina is a little more sophisticated. yeah, sure. >> we'll go with that. well, the bar in this group is set pretty low for now, so, you know, don't take that. except for sandia, she doesn't partake, so she's fine. >> it's that time of the year where your holiday favorite holiday movies are on repeat. yep. and while they enjoy you, they can spark joy. they can also spark an idea. reporter maribel gonzalez explains how whether it's the iconic christmas comedy elf. >> tomorrow morning, 10 a.m. santa's coming to town. santa's. >> oh my god, or a christmas story? holiday movies like these
4:43 pm
draw viewers back year after year. >> there's something really comforting about knowing an ending is going to be a happy one. >> but look past the mistletoe and holiday cheer. and jeanette mulvey from the u.s. chamber of commerce says in certain festive films, you can find some savvy financial lessons. >> if you watch christmas movies, so many of them small businesses play a character in the movie. >> in hallmark's christmas in love, a small town, baker fights against plans to modernize her business. automation is the key. sometimes you have to look beneath the surface, showing that it's the people who make her business successful, that intimacy between the business and its customers and its community tends to be the thing that helps small businesses really stand out. in others, like cranberry christmas. the lesson is, following your passion can lead to success. >> so you co-founded and run your lifestyle brand, mary lane with your husband gabe. >> another lesson this festive season. watching one of these

films could spark new ideas. >> if you have a business that you would like to start, go for it. you will regret for the rest of your life if you do not try. >> i'm maribel gonzalez reporting. >> so who's got a favorite? we're all we're all stunned in silence. yeah. no. it's interesting. what's your favorite holiday movie? sandra. >> you know what, elf? and when i was a child, the home alone movies. oh, yeah. yeah. >> dan, you know, i usually watch elf. my favorites are probably love actually and the family stone. >> to love actually is really good. >> yeah, i love white christmas. that really is my favorite. but i would say elf and home alone. okay. >> yeah. i also often watch it's a wonderful life. you know, with that's very sweet. >> so i've got one that's a little bit off the beaten path. most die hard, die hard. die hard is not a christmas movie. i'm sorry. we have this place over christmas. it does. but a lot of things happen at
4:45 pm
christmas time. that doesn't make it a christmas movie. anyway, we'll have this debate, like on twitter or whatever. what's your favorite four christmases with vince vaughn, jon favreau, reese witherspoon, robert duvall we watch it every year, and i can almost recite the lines with vince vaughn up on the dad's house, trying to install a satellite dish and destroys everything. it's just it's fantastic. >> i almost clicked on that one again the other night. >> yeah, the brothers relationship is just hilarious. >> the wrestling matches in the living room and it's just it's whoever, whoever wrote that. >> i think they're drinking bud light in that, not michelob. >> might probably. yeah. >> you know, those movies, they're such nice touchstones and we all have different ones that we like, but they all bring us into the holiday season in their own way, whatever movies that you particularly like. but there's so many great holiday movies, and actually that one i think was shot partially in san francisco, so. >> oh really? yeah. >> oh yes. they are driving.

the first place, so it's going to reduce the cost of the equipment and also increase the efficiency that they can actually service the gear and catch the crab. >> and the stakes are high. nearly three dozen whales have been entangled in fishing gear off the west coast this year alone, and the winter crab season is now postponed until at least next month. supporters believe that fully adopting the pop up traps could be critical for helping crab fishermen recoup at least some of the lost revenue from their traditional season. >> it was a seven and a half month fishery. november to june. these whales through a hiccup and stuff and have us delayed until january. and then they're taking us off the water after march. this is the first piece of the equation, right? this is getting that april, may june fishery back. >> last year, boats operating with the experimental equipment hauled in roughly a million and a half dollars worth of dungeness crab during the spring season, putting a potentially renewed source of whale safe crab back onto bay area dinner tables in san francisco. spencer
