committee released the report stating that he regularly paid women for sex and used illegal dreeldrugs. matt gaetz is á lashing out after the scathing bipartisan report alleging disturbing and potentially criminal behavior. the committee says there's substantial evidence matt gaetz had sex with an underaged girl in 2017, an allegation matt gaetz repeatedly denied. the woman now in her 20s said she had sex with matt gaetz when she was 17, finishing her junior year of high school, and never told matt gaetz she was under 18 and he did not ask, but claims the then-congressman, paid her $400 in cash which quote "she understood to be payment for sex", for years matt gaetz denied all-wrong-doing. previously under investigation bite department of judge, but the doj, declined to prosecute. >> what's happening is extortion of me and my family. >> the new report says he paid

he received push-back, and the house ethics committee report was about to go public. >> selena, from washington. thank you. gio? >> gio: we turn to the deadly boast ex-- boat explosion at a dock in florida, perry? >> reporter: good morning, you have to see the video, people standing on a dock in florida, out of nowhere, it explodes. this morning, an urgency investigation into the deadly boat explosion at a florida marina, captured from the earth cam web cam. >> lauder dale marina, the boat is scene at the dock -- seen at the dock, people milling about, smoke and then a violent explosion, sending debris flying, one person listed missing later confirmed dead, and 5 others injured and three sustained traumatic injuries and were transported to the hospital. several on the scene tried to throw water on the boat, but

>> reporter: good morning, rebecca, after being named a suspect in the student murders, kohlberger was a "person of interest" in a similar home invasion, he's no longer a "person of interest", but this could have a big impact on his murder trial. this morning, a new twist in the investigation into the university of idaho murder suspect, bryan kohlberger, body footage obtained shows the police responding to an alleged home invasion a year before the murders, less than 10 miles where four university of idaho students were stabbed to death. the woman tells police it was 3:30 a.m., a masked intruder came into her bedroom holding a knife. >> i heard the door open, i looked over, he had a ski mask and a knife, i kicked them in the stomach and screamed super loud and they flew back into my closet and then ran out my door, down the stairs.

>> according to the police report, the suspect was silent, and the offices found no suspect or evidence. months later, kohlberger was arrested for the stab of four students, where the killer also allegedly had a knife, wore a mask, entered the home in the early morning hours and was silent as he left. 13 days later, kohlberger was a "person of interest", in the pullman case. >> looking at the idaho murders what the detectives and agents did immediately, was ask: are there other cases in the area that have similarites. fingerprints, dna, hair samples, for instance. anything you could either biologically or gentically, or fingerprint-wise, link the suspect to that particularly burglary >> according to the report, the pullman suspect was 5' 3-5'.

kohlberger is six feet tall. and, he was not yet enrolled at the washington state university. nor was he visiting the campus as a prospective student. kohlberger is not a person of interest in the break in, adding we have no reason to believe he was part of this burglary at this time. the case is closed but remains unsolved. >> the august trial, looming. the defense team will try to raise reasonable doubt pointing to an alternative suspect in using this alleged burglary, the question becomes, why would a judge admit this evidence, where nothing about this case tends to prove that bryan kohlberger was not the murderer. >> the victim in the break-in is speaking exclusively to abc news, saying they are

frustrated that this was not resolved or looked into further. and kohlberger could face the death penalty if convicted. >> rebecca: the latest in the hollywood bombshell. blake lively accusing justin baldoni, in "it ends with us", saying they tried to smear her reputation hear from the movie studio and the pr-team. tracking this one is melissa. >> reporter: good morning, rachel. the feud is intensifying. the question justin baldoni's pr-team is raising how did the blake lively lawyers obtain text messages from the pr-team, bury anyone". >> this morning, the studio behind the box office hit ""it ends with us", breaks its silence, a legal feud between blake lively and justin baldoni escalates. >> it gets worse, yeah. >> no way. >> sony pictures throwing support behind the superstar actress, a spokesperson wrote

[ laughter ] >> guest: >> reporter: we wanted to talk about sleep maxx. start with light exposure, you heard about minimizing the blue light before bed, but the sleep maxers look at this, they want to maximize blue light or white light in the morning. they say, go outside, two to 10 minutes as soon as you can, and they mean outside, daylight through the window is less potent, if you can't do that sit next to a blue light lamp, like the one you have on the set there, it's something that is rated at 10,000 lux, that's how bright it is, it sound said whoo-whoo.

a medical miracle in time for the holidays. erielle is back inside after braving the frosty temps. good morning. >> reporter: this is a story of recovery being grateful for your hathe, mckenna, was expecting her son. health and, she was feeling winded, thinking it was just the pregnancy but something felt off and her instincts helped save her life, she was diagnosed to melanoma that had spread to her lungs .... >> months into the first pregnancy, 26-year-old mckenna johnson developed a cough that wouldn't go away. the daily taskses on the small illinois farm got more challenging every day.

tasks we were working on putting up the new farm gates, i would have i coughing fit, i couldn't do anything to improve it. >> doctors were reluctant to perform an x-ray because she was pregnant, her breath became increasingly labored at 36 weeks and they revealed a grapefruit sized tumor compressing the heart and lungs. >> it can be catastrophic especially in a pregnant person. >> life-flighted to the hospital in chicago, doctors performed the emergency c-section, and the situation so precarious, mck■en was prepped for the machine to work on behalf of her heart and lungs. baby colter was born early but healthy march 31st. >> it was a very big sigh of relief, because going in you are like, will we both make it out? mckenna, was delt a second blow, the tumor was advanced melanoma, a deadly form of

skin cancer that made its way to her lungs. doctors recommend imp muno theoriapy to shrink it. immuno therapy to shrink it, removing the tumor entirely. >> we heard the news and i broke down >> she turned to me ... i want to live so hard right now, kinda tried to remain optimistic. >> more or lessly, today, doctors say there's no sign of cancer in her body. >> there was actually no cancer cells, left in this big tumor mass. it was just all dead tissue and scar tissue. mckenna, will continue the immunotherapy for another year, for now she's back to work and active on the farm, a busy mom and thankful for the precious time with her family! >> so hard, just hoping for the best to be as healthy as possible. >> her baby's healthy and we have them here together, so it's everything we could have hoped for.
