california. we'll get a little piece of this action as an upper level low brings. certainly the colder air and windier conditions in the upper elevations. but we are looking at southern california to pick up pick up most of the rain. so you can see for 1/100 from san francisco, san jose, maybe over a 10th and into los angeles. so this will definitely help firefighting efforts, but not a good news in terms of runoff, because they have had no rain. and this will not be soaking into the ground. obviously. 34 in napa right now with a wind chill of 30 degrees and basically elsewhere, 40s and 50s, you see that 39 in danville. so a few cold spots. we do have a frost advisory from the national weather service. spotty showers today, tonight, tomorrow, the next few mornings, not only over the weekend but into next week will be very cold with possible frost all around the bay. and that gusty pattern, especially in the north bay mountains. you can see highlighted here until 10:00 on
5:47 am
sunday where wind gusts are already elevated and you can see throughout the morning hours there windiest here. and then they'll begin to subside throughout the afternoon and then pick up again into your sunday morning. so these are north to northeast winds. that offshore component in the upper elevations. and the cloud cover will be with us from that upper level low that is spinning to the east of us. you can see it bringing in a few showers this afternoon into this evening and then into sunday. it begins to fade away. we will have that offshore component to our winds, and then get into a little more sun on sunday, but temperatures are going to be below average the next several days. rainfall estimates anywhere from a couple hundredths today, maybe up to five hundredths. and then through tonight, maybe a few more showers into sunday morning, 10:00. and you'll notice the totals are still below a 10th of an inch. so our winter weather advisory for the mountains here where greater lake tahoe area will see low snow levels. this is some good news. just 4 to 6in though. above 5000ft and a dusting below
5:48 am
3000ft. it will be windy with wind gusts up to 55 miles an hour. and as we take you further, next week is the last week of january and then to early february. monday would be the third. looking at the rainfall amounts here increasing. so this is certainly some good news to start out february with some more moisture. so we definitely need the rain. not getting much of it over the weekend. but in terms of cool breezy conditions that's what's on tap today. 56 in san francisco we'll be looking at mid 50s in napa. so this certainly is below average. we'll get into a cooler sunday as well. and then into monday temperatures coming up a couple of degrees. but remember those overnight lows dropping us off back into the 30s. so a freeze watch right on through wednesday. so we'll finally look at temperatures coming up just a little bit. but near average is all we can do as we get into the middle of the week. so the accuweather seven day forecast highlighting the spotty showers, the windy conditions in the
5:49 am
north bay hills today just in the 50s. that forecast again for tomorrow though increasing sunshine in the north bay. cold mornings, monday, tuesday and wednesday near average. and then by the end of the week, we're increasing clouds and the chances of rain hopefully into thursday and friday. zach. >> lisa. thank you. the nba announced steph curry once again has the top selling jersey in the league. curry sits atop the top selling jersey rankings for the third consecutive time. on thursday, the league announced curry will be a starter at the nba all-star game at chase center next month. it's his 11th overall pick, and he's now the franchise leader in all-star game selection all-star weekend is february 14th through 16th, with events in san francisco and oakland. on the court today, the warriors are looking to string together another win after thursday's game against the bulls at chase center. and on the gridiron, the 49 ers have a reason to celebrate. a familiar face is back in santa clara. here's abc seven sports director larry beil. >> good morning everybody. it's

dominance, while patrick mahomes just keeps being amazing as the chiefs try to win their third straight super bowl. now the bills have lost their last three playoff games to kc, and allen wants to see that trend end. >> you always remember the feeling of not pulling through. you know that sticks with you for a while and it really, really doesn't leave. but again, i think every year that you go through in this league, you learn more things about yourself, about your team, about the game of football. >> when you win a super bowl, you start back at the bottom, you start back level with everybody, and you have to go about your process and put in that work. and so it definitely is a battle every single year. every season is different. and you just appreciate being in this game and you just try to find a way to maximize it and try to get to that next one. >> that's a wrap on morning sports. have a great weekend everybody, and we'll see you right after. warriors versus lakers tonight at 530 here on abc seven i'm larry beil. >> all right larry thank you. >> next champions to the rescue.
