6:49 am
burned scar landscape. it is going to be a rough time of it there for sure, with the rain. pier 39 camera. and as we take a look at mount tam, you'll notice temperatures are in the low 40s right now. it is 34 in napa, with 43 in livermore, and temperatures are colder in parts of the north bay, with some mid 30s for napa and santa rosa. we have a frost advisory there and a dense fog advisory until 9:00. you can see the visibility reduced from santa rosa half mile, quarter of a mile in novato. and then with the mid level clouds here, the temperatures are milder in the 40s and 50s. so the spotty showers very light and most of you won't see any. in fact, parts of the north bay probably not seeing any at all. most likely the east bay, the south bay. then we are cold the next several mornings. so even though this morning the cloud cover helped us out, keeping temperatures in the 40s and 50s the cold morning stick around through the weekend and into next week, and gusty winds in
6:50 am
the upper elevations of the north bay. and that's where we start with our wind advisory through 10:00 tomorrow, 15 to 25 mile an hour north to northeast winds, and we could see gusts up to 50 miles an hour. and the breezy conditions right now throughout the morning hours nine 10:00. and then the winds will subside. they get gusty again into sunday morning. looking at the cloud cover. we will see the clouds with us today. the wind keeping it cool. this is throughout the middle of the day today, and you can see that counterclockwise rotation and some showers moving into the bay area. light amounts for sure, and then increasing sun for your sunday into saturday. just a couple hundredths focus from the east bay to the south bay and then adding in a few more as we get into the overnight hours. you can see perhaps maybe 1/100 up towards nevada. so how dry has january been? well, we have only seen about a 10th of an inch in san jose, a third in napa. that's only 9% of average. and it looks
6:51 am
like we could see no rain or very little rain throughout the rest of january. but february is looking better. so this takes us into the last day of january, early february, where you see the rainfall accumulating through monday, february 3rd and san jose also into this. so that would be some good news. the cold weather allowing for a winter weather advisory. couple of inches at lake level, but above we're looking at 4 to 6 windy conditions, only mid 50s to upper 50s in the warmest locations, a spotty shower, the accuweather seven day forecast, morning showers on sunday, then increasing sun. the cold mornings continue. temperatures come up to near average midweek. rain chances increase thursday into friday. zach. >> lisa. thank you. the nba announced steph curry once again has the top selling jersey in the league. curry sits atop the top selling jerseys rankings for the third consecutive time. on thursday, the league announced curry will be a starter at the nba all-star game at chase center next month. it's his 11th

6:53 am
threes, had a career high 20 points. with injuries to draymond green and jonathan kuminga, the dubs need scoring and these two have certainly provided a jolt. >> don't be afraid you know to let it fly. you know kind of feel like last few games we've kind of been struggling offensively. so i think that's why i'm getting a chance just to get a new look out there. so it doesn't make sense. if i come in and i and i, and i don't play my own game. >> you can catch the warriors and lakers tonight. tip off at chase center is 5:30 p.m. here on abc seven, followed by after the game. well, the coaching dominoes continue to fall in the nfl box. offensive coordinator liam coen set to take over the jaguars head coaching position. the raiders bit of a surprise. they hired 73 year old pete carroll to be their new head coach. now, it's reported the cowboys will hire brian schottenheimer. and all this added up means some really good news for the 40 niners, because that means robert saleh is

6:55 am
you start back at the bottom, you start back level with everybody, and you have to go about your process and put in that work. and so it definitely is a battle every single year. every season is different. and you just appreciate being in this game and you just try to find a way to maximize it and try to get to that next one. >> that's a wrap on morning sports. have a great weekend everybody, and we'll see you right after. warriors versus lakers tonight at 530 here on abc seven i'm larry with chronic migraine? 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting 4 hours or more.
