5:07 pm
reservoirs as well, but we are below average for this time of year. >> locally, valley water says the community has done a good job maintaining conservation habits developed during the height of the statewide drought. >> you don't have to wait to a drought to make changes. it's a good idea to make those changes now because we know a drought is coming and you might as well be saving water and saving money now. >> while officials say water management will be key to keeping reservoirs full, they're still holding on to high hopes for the current and future storms. >> so we'll definitely need more storms throughout the next several months to make up for the very dry january. >> the next snow survey is tentatively scheduled for february 28th in the south bay. zach fuentes, abc seven news. >> and don't forget, you can track the rain throughout the weekend with the abc seven bay area app. you can get the latest forecast and look at the same live doppler seven radar. our entire weather team uses. all you have to do is search abc seven news bay area in your device's app store and go ahead and give it a download now. >> it is another hit for oakland. the waterfront hotel at jack london square is closing down tonight. abc seven news
