allowing five or more. the most in the nhl, and you see for shesterkin, eight games allowing five plus as he goes to the bench. >> ray: they'll pull the goaltender with three minutes and 30 seconds left. trocheck will take the draw, one of the best in the league, again, we mentioned a few times today, but it's kind of shocking to see those numbers hung on shesterkin. he's so good. and a lot of that is the rangers just give too much up in the middle of the ice, and they have been burned today. >> mike: for pastrnak moving in. he scores. a hat trick for pastrnak.

bruins history behind only phil esposito who had 26 of them. >> ray: those ones were a little more stationary. big phil would park out in front, and somebody would sweep him the puck, usually cashman or ken hodge, and boom, it's in the net. >> mike: hats still coming on the ice. morgan geekie grabbed another one. red sox hat. >> ray: i'm not putting it on my head, but it's a nice hat. >> mike: certainly not you. 3:22 to go. and the bruins lead it 14 goals, the last 14 games for david pastrnak since the turn of the calendar. behind the net, good stick there from coyle, works that out of the zone. the bruins moving forward, how do you size up where they are, and how they're playing right now on february 1st.
3:18 pm
>> ray: it's hard to tell, right? like you're looking at a team that's had some real struggles on the road. they have been excellent here in boston, short of their loss on a couple of days ago to winnipeg. i mean, they were 10-1-1 come ent ing into that game. when they get to the break here, the real decision will be in boston, and it will be above joe sacco. are they going to retool or are they going to go for it a little bit more this year? they do not have a lot of draft capital to trade. they do not have a lot of prospects. it would be a real thin needle hole to thread for the bruins. i think they can make it, but man, they cannot have the inconsistencies they have had on the road. that's really ham strung them this year. >> mike: face-off to the left of swayman. the bruins have a 16% playoff probability.

3:22 pm
there by vaakanainen. last few seconds with zadorov shot high and wide, no angle shot for koepke and that will do it at td garden. the bruins tie a season high with six goals, and they beat the rangers 6-3 on home ice today. >> ray: a couple of power play goals for the bruins. offset two goals from j.t. miller, and his rangers return. but a really solid boston bruins home game here as they carried much of the second period on the way to the 6-3 win. >> mike: they make a winner out of jeremy swayman and the bruins get the dub here in the hub. they started the day one point behind the lightning for that second wild card spot.
