stop right there or new threat . >> we are back with a pair of suspected car thieves under arrest in connecticut. the scene was caught on camera in waterbury last wednesday. the suspects were caught after trying to evade police in a stolen car, at one point slamming into a police cruiser and a brick wall. both face drug related charges. >> police in new orleans have more clues as they investigate the death of a reporter from kansas city, who had been there to cover the super bowl, including photos of a woman who authorities say has a history of running con games. here's abc's aaron katersky. >> these are the last known. >> images of a don manzano showing the telemundo sports reporter entering a louisiana hotel at 3:46 a.m. last wednesday. 12 hours later, he was found dead. the woman seen with him is dannette colbert, who is now charged with using his credit card after he died. the surveillance images obtained by dailymail.com. police said they are working to determine

whether manzano was drugged before his death. they said colbert has a history of drugging men. >> miss colbert has quite a record and rap sheet for confidence games. miss colbert's criminal history does include two instances where she drugged a victim. >> since the 48 year old's arrest, police said they've been contacted by people claiming to be her victims. police have not said where they believe she met manzano, but she is believed to be the last person to see him alive. a 27 year old widowed father of a two year old was in new orleans to cover the super bowl. police are waiting on toxicology reports and other evidence to determine whether manzano was drugged, and whether colbert should be charged with murder. aaron katersky, abc news, new york. >> aaron. thank you. actress christy carlson romano says her life flashed before her eyes after being shot in the eye last week. the former even stevens star was with her husband brendan rooney, shooting clay pigeons in texas for his birthday. she says someone in the group next to them fired in the wrong direction. romano says

junk drawer? >> it's not. >> an uncommon. >> thing to get rid of any kind of a denomination that no longer has a function within day to day life. >> as caroline turco of the money museum in colorado springs says there, this would not be the first time we got rid of a coin, just the first time in about 170 years with the half cent, according to the u.s. mint, in the 2024 fiscal year. pennies cost almost $0.04 to produce, and the government lost about $85 million on the 3.2 billion pennies it made. so do we just get rid of them, then? well, one thing to consider as a group called americans for common sense, recently argued that the decrease in the production of pennies would lead to an increase in the production of nickels. the old five cent coin actually costs about $0.14 to make, which makes it even less efficient than the penny. >> hey, ray, look, this week's. hottest new release, $0.99. >> but the real question would be rounding, since items could no longer cost, say, $0.99 or four easy payments of 1999 without pennies. what companies now round up or round down to make this work? there are
