burning across south and north carolina, forcing residents to evacuate in both states. the flames, visible from a passenger plane flying over one of the largest fires threatening communities near myrtle beach. a wall of fire burning down on homes near the carolina forest, leaving hundreds of trees charred. the largest brushfires erupted here in carolina forest. we're just west of myrtle beach. fire crews are positioned here and across this area, trying to put out any flare ups. the south carolina national guard deploying two blackhawk helicopters to help fight the flames. emergency personnel racing to extinguish the fire, too. >> we looked at our kitchen window and you could see the flames as high as the trees. >> officials in the fire zone warned that the dry conditions do remain today, but much needed rain is expected here in south carolina this week in this state does remain under a state of emergency. george. >> okay, stephanie. thanks. the

latest now on president trump and the fallout from his oval office clash with president zelensky over how to end russia's war against ukraine. impact playing out overseas as america's allies ramp up their efforts to come up with a peace plan. chief white house correspondent mary bruce has the story. good morning mary. >> good morning george. well, this oval office blowup really shocked the world. president trump scolding ukrainian president zelenskyy for not being grateful enough and telling him he doesn't hold the cards. tensions boiling over when president trump was pressed on his turn towards russia. and now this morning, it is sending allies reeling and racing to come up with a plan to end the war. this morning, european leaders scrambling to contain the fallout from that explosive oval office meeting between president trump and ukrainian president zelensky. >> you are gambling with the lives of millions of people. you're gambling with world war three. >> european allies quick to rally around ukraine at a weekend summit in london. zelensky even meeting with the king, the british prime minister then telling the bbc they're working to come up with a peace

tribute to those lost in the midair collision over washington, dc, including a routine from the son of two of the victims. >> and new at 730, dramatic video showing flames shooting from a fedex cargo jet just moments after takeoff. but first we say good morning to ginger. >> hey. good morning. we started meteorological spring this weekend and the jet stream is acting like it. meaning that there are severe storms in the forecast and a lot of it. so let's go ahead and go through this new storm system, which you can see plenty of action on the map. from blizzard warnings in the plains to winter storm watches as far north as wisconsin, and high wind alerts for 40 to 65 mile per hour gusts ahead of the system. but it's the severe storms that we're really concerned about, and the flood watches in upstate new york. so here's what you can look for monday here tonight it's oklahoma city to dallas. then tuesday an elevated tornado threat. i can't emphasize this enough. in southeastern arkansas, jackson, mississippi. alexandria, louisiana. and then on wednesday, it slides to the east. we'll even have thunderstorms here in new york. but the severe part of it will be south of us from the mid-atlantic to the southeast. speaking of, you saw stephanie
