manners are important to professional tools. a seminar sponsored last week focused on how a wardrobe influences success. this founder of a website give tips on making first impressions. they say for the people to be successful, they should focus on what they're wearing and how well they communicate through body language. 55% is in what we're not saying, that makes an impact and that's clothing, body language and facial expressions. >> reporter: wearing flip-flops to a job interview is an example of whatnot to do. the state's pr and ad agency is number one this semester.

the team brought home top honors with the "where you going" campaign. >> reporter: pr students learn by doing. this student is a real world advertising agent run by students. they took home first place honors against 22 other campuses across the country. this public relation's senior ended up leading the campaign. it was treated like a real account. >> we did research and we had no resources. we had a $3000 budget. >> reporter: the program is meant for students to get real

life experience towards their peers. they had limited money to spend and limited time to plan. this is not the first time they've won and this is because of the way that the class was structured. this professor teached the class and not in the traditional sense. >> i have professional background. if i stepped in and said do this or that, that wouldn't be fair. i have to say, what if you looked at that or did you think about this or that? >> the team is already on. ashley albert is heading up this semester's project. >> what we're trying to do is target a different market that we missed. we're trying to look at people who could commute. it will be more towards them and it will be something

different from what we did last year. last year, the students were part of a winning national campaign from mountain dew. students this week were in for a little treat. they're with snow on campus. they brought in 16-tons of snow for the the students to play in. children and students joined in on the fun. >> the weather is amazing. we're accounting more rain and it's sunny and we have a lot of people coming in. i'm excited, we've planned this and we're planning on having a good alternate. >> this was organized to get the students together to teach them about the dangers of

boeing 757 jets. this professor says they're ideal. >> one of the factors that was considered by the air force was that the life cycle cost of the 767 would be lowered. this is the first step in a $35 billion contract with the pentagon. eventually, a fleet will be built. this week, president obama signed a temporary solution to prevent a government shutdown. the republican backed spending bill is only enough to keep the government running for two weeks. the leaders an officials still need to compromise on a long term deal to fund the government throughout the fall. this public science professor says that all though the fight isn't over, there's agreement among the two parties. >> you know, i think that everyone will agree that cuts

saturday nights. the students receive a discount. a food truck revolution is coming to the area bringing novel concoction,. a taco truck style wagon is delivering fusion food. the name is korean for "to eat." the owner lends his recipes with other typical fair such as burritos and tacos and quesadillas. >> we've gone outside to stop by and ever since then, they're on twitter and facebook. >> the customers are high school age to 35 years old. they also make extensive use of twitter and facebook. to announce the truck locations and to pull the fans where they want to go next. this is one of the biggest

festivals of the year and it takes place here. this year, the students and faculty contributed to the film extravaganza. >> reporter: this is the trailer that featured the hp pavilion and the fountains. the students and faculty produced the trailer. the students in the radio, television and theater department put together a movie called "superhero party clowns." it made its premiere at the festival. >> students have the opportunity if they're in the department to be directly involved. >> reporter: all though the school is a major player, because the students go there doesn't guarantee an easy in. >> i would like to think that

boise state gets the "w." >> the teenagers took on hawaii losing in the last minute. that came on the game sunday against louisiana tech. here's the report. >> reporter: the play picked up and they didn't let up. they missed the first shot and responded by making the next sink and then some. they found 22 points in 8 minutes time. oliver wasn't the only strong player in the game. here, he gets the defensive rebound and passes it off and drains the 3. gram sinks another jumper in what was two of. his game time heights. he gets hit in the shin and leaves only to return to tack on four more points of his ten points.
