failed to contact the girl's mother, california deputy attorney general marsha fey. the father was upset by an ongoing custody battle with his wife. >> we all knew that he was getting more and more upset. i have pictures of him in the last three years, the only time you saw him smiling was when he was with her. he loved that child. >> authorities have not said when or how the two died. and a fire in napa is expected to be fully contained by tomorrow. the knoxville fire has been burning. 500acres have now burned. the cause of that fire is still being investigated. a shake up in the republican race for president.

the nickkei was up 2.5 points. hong kong's heng seng was up 2%. and australia's major stock index was also up 1.8%. osha is now looking into that stage collapse at the indiana state fair that killed five people. a strong gust of wind toppled the stage last night in indianapolis as fans waited to see sugarland perform. the gust was estimated up to 70 miles per hour. more than 40 people suffered minor to severe injuries. some had to be pulled from underneath the metal and debris. >> the investigation led us to believe that this was an isolated wind gust that ended

up with what occurred. >> reporter: sugarland issued a statement expressing sympathy for the injuried and their families. attorneys for the dodgers are now asking a judge to keep stow's children from suing over their father's injuries. the team also wants to throw out references to drinking at dodger stadium. the stow family sued back in may saying that poor upkeep contributed to stow's beating back in march. facebook says it has new evidence tonight that would throw out a lawsuit against mark zuckerberg. attorneys say documents on paul seglia's computer provers he was lying about signing a contract with zuckerberg that makes him part owner of facebook. no other details about the evidence were released. seglia claims he and zuckerberg signed the contract back in 2003. facebook claims the document was doctored. >> i'm proud of him and i miss

there is new information tonight into the actions and thoughts of norwegian domestic terrorist breveick. the details came out after they took him to the island to learn more about his moves. he had taken steroids and other drugs before the attack. breveick also said he felt awful after he killed the first person, but continued on what he called a quest. he also said he spared two young people he felt were too young to die.

weather year but astronomers say we need to keep an eye out on space. on tuesday, a solar storm was seen in space. the solar maximum will peak between 2013 and 2014. the fog along our coast seems to be a constant. but uc berkeley and uc santa cruz scientists say that climate change has reduced the amount of fog by 30% in the last decade. that's extremely worrisome, because plants rely on the sun to keep ground water from evaporating. scientists are working with nasa to use fog to measure climate change along the coast. we're in the bay area, more parents are choosing not to

people who are trying to sell their home. >> i've been holding out thinking that the market is going to change so i can get more money. >> refinancing applications rose by 30% in the last month. many of those who would like to refinance don't have enough equity in their homes to qualify. the recent troubles in their homes to wall street bringing business for gold sellers. sells on ebay were up for most of the week. sales for gold and silver have been rising through the years. economists practice what is sometimes called the gloomy profession. their outlook these days is not very bright. usa today has released a poll of 29 economists who rated the

well we are wrapping up a very nice weekend. of course we had some fog this morning at the coast near the bay. but clearing out into the afternoon hours. as a result temperatures warmed nicely across a good portion of the bay area. right now on the maps i can show you this. on live storm tracker 2. basically clouds to our west. but mostly clear skies across the entire bay area. overnight tonight the fog will gradually reform. 70s and 80s around the bay. warmer locations around concord, livermore and antioch. so right now like i said we do have mostly clear skies but into the evening hours fog develops for the overnight hours. fog develops overnight for the

coast. also a few patches pushing back into the bay right here at the golden gate bridge. as you can see with temperatures mainly in the 50s. coolest locations up in the north bay. look at santa rosa, san jose 56. and livermore in the mid-50s at 55 degrees. this weather system tries to sneak into the north for tomorrow. tomorrow will be about the same as today or a little bit cooler. high pressure runs with that that will initiate our warming trend with temperatures inland back into the low 90s for tuesday. close to 90 on tuesday. we could be tracking a new 90s by wednesday. this is not a complete bay area warm up but the coast still mainly in the upper 50s, 70s and 80s around the bay. here's our forecast model. you can count on fog coast side. maybe a few patches heading into the bay. but then pulling back to near

tomorrow. well 25-year-old american keegan bradley comes from a good golf family. his aunt pat bradley is in the golf hall of fame. 47-year-old scott plank was able to solve the 16 from the bunker to the bowl. bradley led this tournament for two rounds. one shot behind the leaders. check out this attempt on the par 12. golf shot, he's tied for the lead at this point. third round leader jackson has a demeanor between calm and comatose. but he birdies a 13th. bradley remember already won a tournament earlier this rookie season. but this pga championship was his first major. he was doing just fine until the faithful 15.
