so again, today's rupture comes just two days after pg&e crews discovered the leak we mentioned earlier in that same pipeline 132 and using the same testing technique. that leak was found friday in palo alto. pg&e documents show that part of the gas line contains reused pipe that is more than 60 years old and that the public utilities commission warn them about. last month, pressure testing revealed a flaw in a pipe under a field in bakersfield. it's part of a major line that provides natural gas to the bay area. in that case, a welded seam gave way, which is what happened in the san bruno explosion. pg&e has repaired and retested that pipe. fire claimed the lives of at least five people in a home care facility for the disabled. the fire was reported around

investigators in -- in somona county are trying to figure out what happened to cause a car crash and have two men dead. officers say a white honda slammed into a tree andkied the two people in the inside. and richmond police say drug racing and a drunk driver led to a deadly crash there. it happened at 1:00 this the morning. hots say the two cars clipped each other and spun out of control. one of the drivers, 17-year-old pablo lopez was killed. two other people were hospitalized. the driver of the second is vehicle involved. 21 israel gomez was arrested for vehicular manslaughter. some nurses at an oakland hospital say they are worried about their sincerity after a patient attacked a fellow

nurse. ktvu's reporter is telling us how this happened. >> i heard screaming. >> this nurse was working at the medical center friday morning when a patient lashed out at one of the nurses. >> the patient had his hands around her throat and then put her in a he head lock and started to hit her with his fists the back of her head. >> hospital security responded and so did other police. the nurse is fine. physically other than a few bruises on her head but mentally and emotionally, she is still in shock. >> i know that the medical center is doing what they can to get to the bottom of it. >> she doesn't usually work in the hospital. >> when a patient starts to get upset we have a code that we can call to get assistance.

at about 11:00 this morning one person was shot near tenth and campbell street in west oakland near an elementary school. one witness tells ktvu news he heard about 20 shots fired. police say the victim was taken to highland hospital. earlier this morning, there was gunfire at east 18th street and rosedale avenue. officers arrive there at the scene and found two victims inside a car suffering from gunshot wounds. they were both taken to the hospital. their conditions have not yet been released. san jose police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a 14-year- old girl yesterday evening. police say the assault happened near madden avenue and shaw street just before 6:00. the attacker is described as a latino in his early 30s with slight facial hair. anyone with information on the case is asked to call san jose police. connecticut's largest utility is apologizing to customers for missing a deadline to restore power to

wrapping up the first weekend of november with some pretty cool temperatures out there. of course we had the heavy rainfall last night about this time. and today we had a little bit of everything with sunshine, breaks in the cloud. everyone some thunderstorms. this was the scene today looking out toward ocean beach. boy look at that's beautiful as you can see the chop on the ocean waters there with an on shore breeze about 10 to 25 miles per hour. it was cool a bit brisk out there with gusty winds. still a beautiful sunset to enjoy if you were bundled up. this is the first sunset as we're back to standard time at 5:06. live storm tracker 2 you can pick a few showers dissipating mainly to the east bay. as we come tighter you can see the loop. earlier this evening we had a few showers, for the most part we do have dry conditions which is partly cloudy skies. forecast headlines for tonight, partly cloudy. it'll be chilly out there. most of the area in the 40s to
