can wait for a riot or order them to stop their nighttime occupation. soon after these images started making national and international news. a crisis manager recommended oakland apologize but the mayor's team disagreed and recrafted the message instead. almost the same time the chief received this e-mail from the mother of an officer detailing how her daughter was attacked bottling of feces and urine during a confrontation with protesters. in the days leading up to the march, city leaders warned about the drain on police resources but when the chief received an update that the crime was down 19% in the last week of october he wrote this e- mail to one of the may ear ear advicers, not sure how you want to share this good news, it may be counter to the statement that the movement is negatively impacting crime.
