weekend. lloyd is live now in walnut creek and said city officials want more control over the bars. >> reporter: i'm on locust street where there are 76 bars and restaurants in the area. the first violent incident of the weekend happened around 1:30 sunday morning in this parking garage and we have video of the fight. cameras recorded three men fighting inside a garage elevator. then continuing out in the street. police arrived quickly and arrested a 23 year and his 20- year-old brother. they are both from bay point. 20 minutes later 15 people started fighting inside a restaurant. police used pepper spray on them. the manager said he tried to stop it. >> there is nothing i could have done. people are coming out of bars and they are drunk. all we do is sell food. we don't sell alcohol past ten. >> reporter: a few minutes later two groups started

fighting outside hub cap's diner. drinking fighting have been happening all to often in downtown walnut creek. >> i consider it a very safe area except saturday night and maybe identified night. >> reporter: officials say beginning weekend there will be more police downtown. the city is considering an ordinance to let more local control over bars and restaurants. there. are people that are coming out of season place that have had to much to drink. . >> reporter: the lift lounge is one of the bars on notice. >> shut us down. that's what they really want but for now they want to cut our hours back. >> reporter: they say they are meeting tomorrow to come up with proposals to keep their places open longer and to keep it nonviolent. live in walnut creek. >> in oakland city leaders plan to use a new strategy

follow that occupy demonstration over the weekend that fell apart into violent clash between protesters and police. the mayor said the city is requesting stay away orderer against a hundred protesters who have been arrested several times. those orders would keep the protests from entering the plaza and other protest areas. >> using some of the criminal statutes that are available to us, and putting that into really a long term solution. >> reporter: on the occupy oakland website protesters calling for another day of action next monday in part to address the city's new strategy. about 400 people were arrested during last saturday's protest. we got a list of 110 of them taking to the jail. a little more than half listed their residence as somewhere

other than oakland. people we have talked to around oakland say being patient is starting to wear thin. they point to the trashing of city hall this weekend and the burning of an american flag. new at ten amber lee asked supporters of the movement if anarchists have hijacked the protest. >> reporter: tonight we spoke with two people who said they support the principles of the movement. one created these flyers and handed them out. now both are questioning what the occupy oakland movement has become. >> this is over a hundred years old. >> reporter: images of a damaged city hall are upsetting many residents and causing some supporters to distance themselves. >> their hang certify take over their politics and to me

hadn't been shored up. the work happened any way. the identity of the man has unthe been released. firefighters say they have yet to determine what caused a two alarm apartment fire in concord that left a woman in the hospital in critical condition. this is cell phone video of the flames out of that second story apartment on clayton road around 1:40 this afternoon. firefighters say when they found the woman in the apartment she was unconscious and not breathing. they started cpr and rushed her to the hospital. several other units had heavy damage and officials say they can't be inhabited. >> a new twist in the domestic case against the san francisco sheriff. as of prosecutors claim he kept his wife isolated in their home for 18 hours after the alleged abuse on new year's in order to keep her from talking to police. they said she went to a

neighbor's house when she got in the shower. they have both denied violence. >> now to the presidential campaign and one last poll ahead of tomorrow's primary showing romney is poised to win the 50 delegates up for grabs. he has widened his lead. he has 41%. gingrich is second in the poll with 29%. then a big drop off with santorum and paul coming in third and 4th. the polls are scheduled to open in florida in less than six hours from now. craig boswell joins us where the voter continue out is expected to be big. >> reporter: very big. good evening to you. with 50 delegates up for grabs, the most of any in the contest at tacks between romney and gingrich get more and more personal, polls open in less than six hours. trailing by double dim king gets gingrich works to win over

accuse the school board of being racist. >> reporter: doyle park elementary has been open since 1952 and has a largely latino population. the city school district said budget cuts may force it to close this school. they gathered at a nearby middle school to talk act the fate of the school and it's 230 students. the district said they have poor test scores and declining enrollment and faced $8 million this budget cuts the school may have to shut. >> we have to give layoff notices by march the 15th. we cannot wait. we have to go head and project it what we have is what we have. >> reporter: everybody who spoke here was against the closure. one said recruiting a few more students could reverse the financial drain at doyle. >> using some basic math it turns out that's about 40 kids. 40 extra kids go and they break

even. >> reporter: some parents say the latino students will have to transfer to other schools who suffer the most. >> whether the district cares to admit it this is a racial issue. there have been white blight in many schools for years. >> reporter: the district said they will likely reopennance a charter school. >> the only decision that's been made is our district authorized the french american charter to move forward in its application to the state. >> reporter: the stew said more than 150 parents have signed a petition to put the french american academy at doyle. >> just because it's a white country this is not -- nobody has this type of money to be speaking french and tasting french wine and going to it france. >> reporter: the board is expected to make a decision on whether or not to close the school on february 8th or the it '22nd. live in santa rosa. >> its been 23 years since a

13-year-old disappeared on her way home from school in dublin. tonight as they do each year her parents led a candlelight walk. the support of the community help its keep the family going and they are grateful so many remember their story. mady said she continues to wait for word on her daughter. >> every day you get a hope that you put your feet in the car and say this is the day she is coming home. >> tonight's walk retraced the steps she would have taken on her way home from school to wells middle school. police are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and on conviction of anybody responsible for her disappearance. >> the alameda county da said 15-year-old moses camen has admitted to killing his parents and will be tried as an adult. the bodies were found inside a car outside their home in oakland last friday night. police say she was strangled

and he was beaten to death. susan worked at a clinic. friends said they knew the mother had problems with her son. >> nothing unusual. certainly no expression of fearing or anything like that it. the teen is due in court tomorrow. he had been in the foster care system until he was adopted by the couple ten years ago. >> as many as 21,000 employees nurses to building workers plan to strike in about nine hours from now. tom say was the hospital is calling the strike illegal. >> reporter: thousands of picket signs in the works for tomorrow's strike that will affect all 21 hospitals. 4400 members of the national union of health hairworks main lynn mental health strike tomorrow. like the strike last september

it's the second such action in four months and that union is getting important help. 650 members of the building engineers union will strike along with them. it's the california nurse's association 17,000 employees that will give the strike it's true strength. >> we are going on a sympathy strike to support them. >> there is a clause in the contract that states that they will not strike during the contract period. >> we are not doing a strike. we are not doing a work stop. we are doing a sympathy strike. that's legal. >> reporter: the unions say the main reason is to assist patients in getting better care more quickly especially those with mental issues. >> they may get into their first appointment but won't get follow up care based on what they say they need. this is not about quality of care this is act salary and benefits and as a matter of fact we have been waiting for six months for them to get back to us on our first proposal with regard to salary and benefits. .

. today we got a look at a special car that pg&e crews can use to sniff out natural gas leaks. robert honda says why pg&e and the bay area company behind that say it'll help especially during emergencies. >> this is not a regular chevy
