. hello, everybody. i'm beth troutman. it's friday. that means it's time for the top ten countdown "right this minute." some guys go into a jewelry store. >> they are carrying big plastic bins, almost look like recycling bins. >> but they ain't taking out the trash. and now cops are looking for them. if you think the students look freaked out, think how the poor animal felt. >> remember how kids freaked out when there was a bee in t classroom. >> beer pong nerd style. >> i have to show you something that is quite the opposite.

>> that would be beer pong cheeseburger style. and all dressed up with nowhere to go. >> he sits and waits. >> no one knew who this dog was waiting for. now we solved the mystery on today's rtm countdown. we'll get our countdown started today with our number 10 video. steven has it for us, and of course the story behind it. >> a trio of jewelry thieves are on the loose in indiana. we've got video of the smash and grab. check it out. you see here this is in hobart, indiana. you notice it's daylight out. it's 8:00 a.m. sunday morning, not the middle of the night. these guys pull up and come out of the van with a hammer and smash their way through this window of the helzberg diamonds. they are carrying bins.

they make their way into the store and are piling jewelry into these big plastic bins. >> how long does it take to do all this? they seem like they were loading up everything they could possibly get their hands on. >> they weren't in the store too long and only made their way to certain cases. police say it looked as though they knew which to go to and that they had been in the store before. >> they always seem to know where they are going and what they want. >> we talked to the police sergeant in hobart. they are still looking for the guys. they put this video out there so people can recognize the minivan, who these guys. they are looking for any clues whatsoever. >> you can't see any facial imanswer at all. >> what's interesting with these videos is that they are so casual. as you're watching them, the way they walk in. they get their tubs out of the van. they are so casual out of the whole thing. >> the lieutenant said it's sort of a sleepy town.

they are not used to crimes like these. the guys did make off with a significant amount of jewelry. we're at our number nine video of the day. it's coming from barcelona, spain. this is protest footage right near the university of barcelona. they are protesting education cuts. they are concerned about overcrowded classrooms and concerned about unheated classrooms. >> looks like the police are out there with their batons. did anybody get hurt during this? >> you're right. they are out there with their batons. they also shot rubber bullets to break up these protests and 12 people were injured as these protests were trying to be broken apart. twelve people were also arrested by the police. some of these protesters, according to reports and according to police were setting things on fire, even breaking into a local bank. these protests happened all over spain. only in barcelona did they have

reports of things getting violent. according to reports there were 30,000 people protesting in the area. most of the protests were incredibly peaceful. just a small portion of the protesters got out of hand, did damage to property. lots of police had to come in. you can see trucks of police, almost like s.w.a.t. teams filing in in line. this person has been hit by two different officers with their night stick. >> he's running back into the mix. they are getting hit with the tongs but not fleeing. they are going back to engage with the cops. >> some of these protesters tried to get back to the university of barcelona and gather to get away from some of the police attention. we're number eight on the countdown. spring is not here just yet but keep an eye out for the ice. there was a freezing rain warning entoronto and apparently some people didn't get the message.

cars on the freeway got into an accident and another car clipped them. that wasn't the only thing that was caught on the video. whoa. >> this makes me never want to go anywhere where it's rain and sprinkling. >> how can he not see that. >> maybe he did, hit the brakes. >> here is my thought on this. the people in the middle of the road with this little fender-bender need to get out of the road. >> exactly right, beth. the cars look like they are still drivable, get out of the way. >> explain this to me. you all live somewhere where it has freezing rain, snow, whatever. aren't you supposed to slow down? these people seem to be going normal speeds. >> part of the issue is you get on the freezing roads and get on the track in front of you and you start getting overconfident. >> there's parts that are ice. others you really can't see the

ice. it can't hurt to go slow. we're at number seven. this one is coming from the classroom. something is just not right. check out this surveillance video taken at east mecklenburg high school in charlotte, north carolina. there are a bunch of students scrambling to get out of a classroom. >> like falling over they are going so fast. >> they are running to get away from a deer. >> a deer. >> we don't know exactly what happened but what was clear was that this deer crashed through the window of this classroom into the classroom. people are like scrambling. fortunately no major injuries to anybody. >> this could possibly be not an accident at all. this could be one elaborate setup to get out of a final or something. >> i think you're right. pulling the fire alarm. >> i think the deer wanted to learn. >> the deer should learn how to not crash through windows. >> no walking in through front doors. >> was he fine? >> he was fine.

he walked away. it looks like it's a really young deer, though. i think he was probably just learning how to get around. >> i think he should slip in on the floor. they aren't used to walking on that buffed floor. >> kept him away from the rest of the high school. he was confined in one area. they called animal services to come get him. this whole thing going on, you hear the physician of the school trying to alert security there's a deer. >> security, you're needed in room 629, please. >> they seem a little too calm while the classroom is freaking out. >> kind of funny that they are so panicked. >> don't you remember how kids used to freak out if there was bee in the classroom? this is a lot bger than a>>bile never seen before. see if it makes it to the top five next. and a dude on a bike is on a mission to steal some handle

don't have. >> they come out on jet skis. >> at number five, two videos, one drink. take it away, beer. >> who says that in other words don't know how to party. >> i've never said that. >> well, take a look at this video. these are a bunch of you could call them geniuses, cmu, carnegie university robotics class, beer pong ornament except the people doing the beer pong tossing, they are robots. they made these robots out of lego mind storm kits. we talked to the professor. he said the students in this class had to build robots to solve challenges. this challenge being a ten-cup beer pong. first time a beer pong match started. >> everyone look at the mechanism. >> look at the mechanism on the top. oh!

>> this i feel is an intelligent adaptation of a drinking game. now i have to show you something that is quite the opposite. i don't know how to really describe it. in this video a group of guys get the right idea to take out the beer funnel or beer bong, if you will. instead of putting a can of beer in said funnel, they put a cheeseburger in a blender with an entire can of beer blended up, mix it up together. >> that looks like vomit. >> i think you know where this is going. >> this is smart, and i'll tell you why. eventually through your nights of drinking and partying, you're going to get to all these things. you're going to drink the beer, probably get drunk and have a burger. you might as well get right through the night. >> you're right. that is so brilliant. that is the most einstein-ish

stupid part at number three. check out this video that was captured by the group animal in new york. they shoot the underground art scene but happen to catch this guy trying to rob the handle bars off this bike. check out what happens as he was making his attempt. it's not as easy as he thinks it's going to be. what's going on here? i see a wire. >> they are still attached. dummy. why does he need those handle bars? looks like the bike he's riding is in good shape. >> sitting on the bike. you know what, this isn't worth it. i'm out of here. >> what a dweeb. >> he didn't need handles with hand brakes because it looks like i has foot brakes. >> he's a thief, doesn't think about these things. this is something i can take, so i take it. >> sell in underground chop shop. >> a big underground market for him? >> i'm sure there is. >> i love his face as he's trying to do this because he

bank where every day for eight hours he sits and waits. the little dog for two years has been doing the exact same thing every day. he shoes up in the morning and he waits for eight hours. sometime around 5:00 disappears. people used to think that he was a homeless dog but it turns out. >> he's a pretty sharp dresser. i wouldn't think he'd be homeless. >> people started noticing the little dog would show up clean, well groomed and wearing fashionable attire. >> he looks so indignant. >> he was rescued about two years ago from someone who found him when he was an actual homeless dog. since then, the dog will come with his owner who works nearby and wait for his owner to leave work, then they leave back home
