>> right. >> why wouldn't you think you're being punked. >> kayaker goes out for a paddle and spots a turtle in trouble. hear how he got all tangled up and got happy. >> and did you ever wonder -- >> where do condoms come from. >> rubber trees. >> now inside little foil packets for a look at how they're made. >> those are some big molds. steven will get our show started today with our top video. >> i've got some incredibly crystal clear rescue footage to show you guys following a crash in gainesville, florida. as you can see, this brown cargo truck hopped over the median accidentally and had a head-on collision with a semi. the rescue team was on the scene very quickly. if you look, you can see the driver is trapped. >> geez. >> he's pinned between his seat, the steering wheel and the dashboard. what we're seeing here is clear

footage of this rescue team using the jaws of life to get this guy out. they worked on this guy for 15 minutes with the jaws of life. eventually they remove the door completely from this van. still, the guy inside, he is conscious. he's moving around. >> how terrifying for this guy that he was conscious during all this. you know -- you must be so terrified because the wreck just happened, but then you have all these rescue people around you, the sounds of the jaws of life and you can't move. >> the driver was taken to the hospital. the driver, in his 50s, did make it but the gainesville fire rescue district chief said that, hey, this guy probably survived because of the relatively low speed that the semi was traveling. also, he pointed out, this guy was wearing his seat belt. the seat belt was a factor in this guy's survival. a dispute between a roswell,

georgia man and the city may have led to this. >> oh. >> what the heck just happened? >> that's the housef andrewword doused his home in gasoline and set it on fire as marshals were trying to evict him. he had been in a long-time dispute with the city because he was a chicken farmer. he began raising chickens back in 2005. the city changed some laws in 2009, and there had been a dispute going back and forth it is believed he fell behind on his mortgage payments while in jail for violating these city codes. >> so basically he started raising chickens in 2005 when it was fine to raise chickens inside the town limits? then the things changed -- >> a neighbor complained in 2009, that's when this lengthy battle with the city began. that's so unfortunate. we've seen so many people that are being foreclosed. they're trying to figure out

ways to make their financial situation work with keeping their home. sometimes the bank and some agencies don't work with these people. >> did he have a family or was he in the home alone. >> he was the only one in the ho home during the resulting explosion and fire. getting a ticket is crummy. try getting three within hours of each other. this woman on the side of the car is lynn cahill gomez. she was the recipient of three speeding tickets all within hours of each other. >> what? she got pulled over three separate times? >> three separate times. lynn claims she was on her way from hayward, california, to paradise, california, to help her 79-year-old mother who needed her help. in doing so, she was driving

over 100 miles per hour twice. that's where the first two tickets came in. the third time she was driving 76 miles per hour on a 55-mile-per-hour zone. she was pulled over again that time she was arrested for reckless driving and resisting arrest. >> imagine the officer, when he runs her license and plates and stuff. everything comes up -- like the third officer, oh. you were pulled over two other times today? >> i've been doing this for over 27 years. this is my first time that i've heard of someone three separate circumstances within a short time frame. >> am i supposed to feel bad for this woman? because i don't right now. is there another part of this story where her mom was next to death and had to get there immediately? >> there was no confirmation on whether she had an ill relative or not. >> maybe she thought it was one of those things, you can't get

struck by lightning twice in the same day. i'm not going to get three speeding tickets in the same day. >> christopher deluca served in afghanistan. while he was there. he was telling his wife, you know, i wanted to get a puppy. we're going to make a special delivery to sergeant christopher deluca, who recently came back from afghanistan. >> this guy, and his wife, she called and said don't tell them that we're getting a puppy. just surprise him. so, they're going to quincy market in boston to surprise chris with this puppy, tahoe, a burmese mountain dog. >> aw. he's precious. look at the little guy. >> christopher and his wife are walking around. and they see this puppy. >> chris. this is your puppy. >> it's my puppy? >> that is your puppy. >> that is. >> he doesn't know what he's trying to tell him. >> he does not believe him. they're telling him, dude, it's

welcome back to the show. don't forget to check in at rightthisminute.com, great videos all day long. animal rescue time, this time from the sea. guy has his kayak out on the remote southern coast of oman in southwest asia. he is paddling along. what do you see there? >> a turtle. >> turtle. >> it's a turtle, but the turtle is struggling to swim because the turtle is tangled up in, like, an old fishing net. the guy notices the turtle. he picks him up and puts him on the kayak. grabs a pair of snips. you could see he is really tangled. >> this is not easy to get out of without human help. >> the net is around his net,

the fins. the kayaker said he noticed the fishing nets and litter becoming a problem on oman's coastline, especially in the remote areas where it can get out there, hang out and stay. it takes quite a bit of snips to free this sea turtle. >> so cool he was in the right place at the right time. eventually he frees him, lets him loose, and gets a cool shot of letting the turtle swimming away. >> it's so irresponsible of humans to just leave their fishing nets in the water or anywhere near the shore, just to drop things out there, not thinking of the consequences of all the other amazing life that live on the planet besides us. the next time you guys are in a situation where you need to carry an injured person out of a dangerous situation, we have the perfect tool. this is the agilite injured personnel carrier. right now it's hard to carry an injured person. you need both hands.

everybody's going "hunger games" crazy. the kids at the online musical have come up with their own version of "the hunger games" and it's told with beanie babies. >> i could do it, you know, leave the district, run off. we could make it. >> didn't know they were still around. >> these beanie babies have not seen the light of day since 1999, so they thought we'll cast them as the characters. they even have dialogue, so people can understand what's going on.
