the home with his 29-year-old mother who was the other hostage. he did release the mother also, a neighbor of these people was also inside the home. he kept him for awhile longer. >> how scarey for this five-year-old, man. >> let's rewind, and i will tell you how this standoff began. he was driving a stolen saturn, and they tried to pull him over, he ditched the car, fired his weapon at the deputy, and ran into the home. >> what did he want? >> he was on probation, and he was wanted by police for a shooting four days earlier. >> so he knew he was in trouble. >> especially when they took a shot at him too. >> he surrendered to police peacefully. this entire incident happened

without any injury, and he is currently in police custody. you guys, i have the feel good story of the day. do you remember a couple weeks ago i shared a story about the dog that was dog napped from the oasis center. this is the video i showed that showed this dig dog napping sadie, and they say he also tried to take the dog house, thanks to an anonymous tip, sadie was found. it led to a house where sadie was barking out a upstairs window. she was returned and is available for adoption. >> the shelter didn't want to press charges or anything, they just wanted the dog yet. >> they're considering whether

vandalized overnight. he interviewed some people that managed the building, and then they took a little lunch break. when they came back they smelled gasoline and they realized the church had been set on fire. they saw two men, and one of them takes off running, the reporter started running after him and it was caught on camera. he chases the man through the streets and through the woods, and he catches up to a guy, they tell the reporter they were not responsible for the vandalism or fire. police were called and both of the men were arrested. >> you see a lot of reporter goesing up to people's doors and confronting them that way, i have not seen one chase someone. >> it might have been an attempt for the vandals to get rid of evidence. >> it's possible not only did they create this mess,

apparently they pumped paint on the carpets and they defecated and urinated on the car pets. >> hopefully you had a lot of fun, because a felony charge is pretty serious. >> if you have nice stuff, you have to do what you have to protect it, leon thompson did that. he has a cover over his motorcycle and a surveillance camera on this motorcycle. you see a couple shady dudes that walk into his garage. you see these thieves take the cover off his nice 2003 ktm, about a $3,000 motorcycle. watch close, these guys are thwarted. they try to lift it, but there is a really solid chain.

the state of texas has a texas sized pest prb. their called wild hogs, and you may not think of them as a pet, but the current calculations of

damage from wild hogs is about $400 million dollars. a company in texas flies over wild watches of texas to hunt these hogs. this video for some people may be hard to watch, they're shooting them from the air, and you may think this isn't fair or fun, this isn't sport hunting, this is considered pest troll. it may be hard to watch, but you have to consider the type and amount of damage these hogs are doing to the state? >> what do they do with them after? >> they are left there once they are shot because some of the areas are pretty remote. @ doesn't make much financial shot to take these hogs out of where they are shot. it's a tough problem, tough to deal with, and to tell us more about this issue is mike morgan. >> tell me what you do by law that makes this legal and why
