>> wish my life was as cool as his. i don't think this car owner is going to be able to buff this one out. it's an suv on fire. look at this. let me tell you, everything and anything that could explode on this car did. the youtube poster says the tires, the air bags, there's magnesium in the steering column, that exploded, all before the fire department arrived. the driver says that he had no idea how this thing started. he was driving down the highway, the vehicle stalled, he pulled over and all of a sudden, poof, the fire started. fortunately, no one was injured but, again, watch some of these explosions. you see parts of the suv are just chunking off of this thing. the fire is not getting any smaller. we're fresh off the fourth of july, but it looks like we've got a couple of extra fireworks here. >> whoa! >> sparks shooting from the top of this thing.

>> that doesn't look like something that belongs in a car. i mean that doesn't look like an explosion caused by a car. >> you see those sparks again after the fire department shows up and they're starting to take the hoses to this thing. by the end of this video some eight minutes later, this car is like a shell of its former self. it barely even looks like an suv. it doesn't look like a car at all. >> it looks like a giant marshmallow. it is fire season in the southwest, and utah has seen some pretty severe fires. the videos, of course, are starting to help the web. this one is from an area called alpine and you can just see the clouds grow gigantically into the guy. >> it's that black smoke that concerns me. >> some of it is very dark but in some parts of it, it looks like there's a fire inside the cloud. in this part of the video, you see the mountain burning.

when he pans over it's this beautiful green mountain with a beautiful blue sky. it's almost surreal. >> it's so hard to see this in such an idyllic setting. >> this was taken through a telescope lens and you can see the flames just dwarf the trees around it. >> that's like the worst case scenario of these fires. they call it crowning when the fire is way up in the treetops. it lays waste to everything. >> do they know how this fire started? >> in the alpine region, they believe it was a man working on a backhoe that started the fire and they have banned some target shooting in some areas. >> that just goes to show you when it's so dry, the smallest thing can start a fire that gets to be this huge. >> we have brittany from utah via skype right this minute. your family was evacuated from your home? >> that's correct. right now i'm at my brother-in-law's parent's house in highland, utah. my dad being the stubborn man he

is decided to stay because there's no danger. probably half hour after that, the cops pounded on his door and said he had to leave immediately. >> how worried are you about your home? >> i don't know if i'm too worried but it's definitely a new thing. this is probably the first time i remember in the last 20 years with the whole neighborhood being evacuated and that's a significant event to happen. >> and you see the fire from where you're standing right now? >> this is the next city over. there's just smoke rising from all of it. if you can hear planes over my head, that's the planes coming in to help put the fire out. in reality it's probably a little scarier than i think it really is. i want you guys to watch this clip from an australian panel show and tell me why don't you think so many australians might be upset. >> i'll just give you one brief example. >> did he just pass out? fall asleep? >> he did not fall asleep. that is simon and he collapsed

during this live panel broadcast on the australian broadcasting corporation's network in australia. >> oh, man. >> apparently he was recovering from the flu and it caused him to faint during this actual broadcast. but that's what has people so upset in australia. people are blowing up social media because of the woman beside him. that is a member of parliament. her name is sophie mirabella and people are angry over how she reacted to this guy. >> as soon as he fell, she just leaned the other way like this. she didn't render aid immediately. >> watch it again. >> people in australia have been blowing up twitter accounts saying things like watching simon pass out was horrible, but worse is seeing sophie mirabella recoil in horror rather than help. >> what's she supposed to do?

even if she did immediately touch the guy, what is she going to do? it's not like it's detrimental to this guy's health or caused a huge problem that she didn't jum on him immedtely like it seconds somebody else came over. >> i think they just probably wanted to see a little more compassion a little sooner. i think that's what it is. >> i think that's exactly right. i think that's what people are so upset about. >> we want to know what you think. did this woman react horribly? was her response justified? head over to our facebook page, facebook.com/rightthisminute. this video has a pucker factor of about a million. motorcyclist is cruising down the road having a great ride. watch. some dummy coming the opposite direction nearly kills this guy. >> oh, no way! >> guy tries to pass in front of him. he crosses over a double line on a hill. >> you're not supposed to do that.

that's a big no-no. >> barely misses the guy. the car scoots over to the shoulder right where this motorcyclist is starting to head and he swerves back towards the center of his lane and obviously he's completely freaked out and comes to a stop on the side of the road. >> lucky for the car that it was a motorcycle and not a car because a car wouldn't have fit in that small space. >> it wasn't completely lucky for the car because there's a brief shot of that car in a ditch. >> oh! >> you can see the air bags on this car did deploy. hopefully nobody was injured. some of the early reports were saying this is a 17-year-old driver. >> when you said pucker factor i thought he was going to run into a truck with lemons. >> i didn't know what the pucker factor meant. what's puckering? oh, i was thinking like ew! that's not what i did, though. >> i thought it was going to be sour. that is a cat swimming in the ocean.

when i say getting high, i mean do you get when you the combine wind and waves? wind surfing. this is the grand wind and waves festival 2012 off the coast of grand canaria. this is day one of the men's single elimination. the winds this day were up to 40 knots. >> what? >> 40 knots is about 46 miles per hour. and just look at some of the stunts that these guys are pulling off. >> i went wind surfing once. >> how did you do? >> i did okay. >> you didn't fall in the water? >> look at this guy, they're shooting themselves up in the air. flips around and lands straight up. it's crazy. >> how do you score something like that? is it by the jumps, by the height, by how many flips you can do in the air? >> i bet it's all those things. height, landing, flips. >> technique.
