hi, everyone, i'm beth troutman, welcome to another edition of "right this minute." we've got videos first. catch him if you can. a cop gets a a little help on a high-speed chase. >> we see two big rigs trying to block the road. >> see the final moves of a desperate man. >> a a man in a wheelchair answer as knock at the door -- and gets his bell rung. how a whole city is outraged by a couple of thugs. a bird feeder draws some hungry bears. >> the bears figured out they had a free meal. >> wait until you see the lengths they go to to get it. >> there goes the screen door. and meet the guy who -- >> plays the guitar with his feet. >> find out the big name band he's about to jam with. >> are you just freaking out? >> yeah, pretty much. christian will get our show

started with the first video of the day. >> this is dash cam video of a high-speed car chase in utah. the car they're following is the jaguar you see right in front. the chase started after the utah highway patrol pulled over this jaguar. but when the office ever got out of his car, the jaguar took off. at this point, we see two big rigs trying to block the road, so that this car can't get through. except the jaguar decides he's going to go around them on the shoulder. >> dangerous move. >> throughout the view you do also see the driver throw stuff out of the car. at one point he throws a large backpack out. >> i say the backpack is suspicious. >> yeah. >> it turns out that the officers retrieved those backpacks and they found nothing incriminating in them. this chase goes on for about nine minutes and throughout the whole thing, the car is

swerving. >> do you believe it's unsafe? >> he doesn't call off the pursuit. he doesn't believe at this point the chase is too dangerous and a few minutes later, an attempt to stop him with spike strips. >> oh! >> they ended up arresting the driver, 21-year-old benjamin pillrd and he is facing several charges, including two counts of attempted aggravated murder of a police officer. i'm about to show you two videos that are going to make you angry because it shows two people in vulnerable positions being preyed upon by robbery suspects. this man here has muscular dystrophy. he gets an early-morning phone call from a cousin who says hey,

i need some oxycontin. can i come get some? he says okay but he's suspicious, so he sets up a camera. these guys, unknown to him come to his door, and watch what they do to him. police say what you don't see is they allegedly punched him in the face. and you see them dragging him back into the living room. one is taking his tv and the other is taking an xbox and some games and they took 35 oxycontin pills. >> and they're not even doing it in a hurry. because the poor guy is laying on the ground, can't help himself. >> they threw his phone where he couldn't get it. police say it took him an hour to get to the door to lock it and call the police for help. police have identified the two men in this video. one has been arrested and the other is still on the loose. this isn't the only vulnerable person who was preyed upon by robbery suspects. this is a clerk at a daytona beach parking garage. it's about 5:00 in the morning.

but it's a woman in that little booth by herself. you see two men approach. she's saying something to them and then he has a knife and he grabs her. >> that's so scary. who are you going to scream for help to. >> the other guy comes up and tries to come in. eventually he lets her go and he takes off. >> they got away with nothing? >> they got away with nothing, but she had some scratches, she called 911, you know they hurt me, they had it to my neck, they got me on my chest. but her injuries were not as severe as she initially thought they were the only thing they seemed to get away with was some of her hair. this next video is an important lesson is keeping your head on a swivel. this is a road rally race on snowshoe mountain in west viinia. this guy h got his. he's on the final stage of this rally race. final stage meaning he's already

gone 300 miles. >> oh. >> got to keep your head on a swivel, because this could always happen. >> oh, no! >> yeah. a deer happened across the road, as always, at the absolute worst time as this guy is flying by. what's crazy about this video is we're seeing an up close and personal shot of this. if you pause it at the right spot, you can see fur flying off the deer when it hits the motorcycle. the biker gets back up right away and continues on with the race. we don't get a clear shot of the deer afterwards, he looks back. >> it looks like it got up and just ran away. >> there was nobody in the road but the motorcycle. and the deer is like, hmm, my instinct tells me to leave now so that thing can hit me. >> you can say that about every deer accident, why did they wait until right now. it's olympics time so maybe the deer was trying to break the high jump record. you know, go big or go home.

>> good motto to live by. >> they definitely live by that motto in china. check that out. >> that's huge, what is it? >> that's an enormous wasp nest. >> what? >> look how big this is. this is at the top of a very tall tree. and it was actually causing this small area some really serious problems. dozens of people had been stung. one man was even killed by a wasp sting. so this wasp nest was a huge deal to this community. but the problem was, this was so high up. look at this tree. >> you can't like knock that out of the tree with a broom. >> right, they couldn't get to it. >> throw big rocks at it? >> flame thrower? >> funny you should say that, gayle. >> why, beth? >> well, the people of this little area needed some help and

the military came to their rescue with their flame thrower. >> that's not like a flame thrower, that's like a flame cannon. wow! >> look at them go. >> no way! >> it's working, you see the thing on fire. on the very tip-top of this tree. >> they could also burn down the entire -- area that they're in. >> luckily, nothing happened, except -- the wasp nest is now no longer in that tree. >> just got to keep your fingers crossed they don't experience wasp revenge. >> oh. >> time to go to -- black mountain. >> whoa, that freaks me out right now. >> freaked out? because we've got bear intruders. >> he's one smart bear. >> smart bears in this one? dumb humans in this video. >> imagine all the -- shards of

in this house was born a little boy, his name is george dennehy. he was born in romania, adopted into america. george really has some serious music talent. ♪ all i can see is this moment ♪ all i can dream is your eyes ♪ >> so you guys probably at this point have noticed that george has no arms, but he plays the guitar with his feet. >> and he's playing the guitar like a boss. he is owning that guitar. >> it sounds like the song. >> the song he is performing is "iris" by the goo goo dolls, to tell us about his amazing journey, we have george dennehy via skype. who was the first person to put a guitar in front of you and say, hey, try this.

>> the guitar was myself. but the cello, which was the first instrument he played, was my mom. >> how did you learn how to play? how did you get it? >> i had a cello teacher for about six years. we really worked on my toe dexterity and what i can do with my toes that really help immediate to learn to play guitar and form the chords. >> did it take a long time to be able to master this? >> it took about ten or 11 years to where i am now. >> where are you now is you're going to be performing at a music festival. tell us about that. >> the drummer for the goo goo dolls, mike, he saw the video of me playing and he loved it. and showed the rest of the band and they reached out to me and contacted me and my dad. and told us that they would love us, love me to come to the music fest and pl. which i'll be doing ne week. st freaking out?inking right >> yeah, pretty much. right now, it's awesome, but it happened so fast and it's really

>> black mountain. >> and this voice is going to be appropriate for what this video is about. >> we've got a couple of black bears. aw. >> on the patio of mike and carol. >> it's a baby bear. >> that's a little cub and mama bear. now the cool story behind this is mike and carol have seen these bears before. particularly adult bears on their patio. in fact. they kept some bird feeders on their patio. it's a beautiful place for bird feeders, look at this view. >> they kept them on purpose, so the bears would come on their patio? >> no, they kept them for the birds, but the bears figured out they'd have a free meal. the last time mama bear was at the house she figured out she would just pull the rope to pull down the bird feeder. s she thought the rope would lead

her to food. >> she's teaching the baby, come on, cubs. can the little bear, come on along. >> oh, there goes the screen door. >> no, rips the screen door. >> she is one smart mama bear. >> she's brilliant. >> i keep telling you, animals are evolving. doesn't did bother people that she's using a heavy-gauge door to climb up to get the bird feed centre. >> when she remembers the code for the security system? we're done as humans. >> what's amazing is mike and carol get to see it rather often. they have another video of bears in their area, and in this particular video, we've got mama bear and two cubs. the vacation. >> oh, gosh. >> black bears, nightmares about that voice.
