what it is. we're all familiar with those drifting videos that have come out of saudi arabia. this one is no different, but you won't believe what you see in this video. so you see this car drifting and you're thinking this is probably what we're supposed to see. but no, no. >> oh, whoa? >> what was that? >> that was a human body flying through the air. >> oh, what the -- >> he had some serious injury bus he survived. >> where did he come from? >> there was another accident that occurred behind that drifting car. you don't see it. all you see is the aftermath where presumably the white car rolling in the dirt, this guy was tossed from that. >> clearly this guy wasn't wearing his seat belt. how do you take the risk of drifting your car, your truck, your van, whatever and not be buckled in. >> listen to what the guy taking the video does when he sees it. he's tsking. >> he does that and someone

almost dies right in front of you. if you've ever known southwest airlines, then you know that once you get on board, it's every man for himself when it comes to seats, right? well, one high school lacrosse player, mack breedlove, thought he could beat the system when he was traveling with his team to a summer tournament. i guess he jumped in line and tried to preboard with the young passengers. he thought he pulled a fast one on everybody, but two of his coaches saw the whole entire thing so this is what they made mack do. >> i apologize. >> now, he tries to get off by just saying i apologize, but that's not good enough. >> my fellow travelers, today i come with great remorse. >> they have a written speech for mack breedlove to read. >> during the boarding process i took advantage of this airline's kindness. this is not how my coaches or

parents expect me to behave. i hope you will all find it in my hearts to forgive me for i am just a young man who thinks i am smarter than i am. >> thank you, mack. >> i have to agree with that. >> they, of course, at the end, all the passengers they laughed and applauded for ole mack. i think the apology was accepted. however, it looks like he got to keep his window seat. birds need to stay away from these cables because they are exploding. >> wow! >> what? >> what the heck is going on here? >> look at that. >> this is not supposed to happen. >> this is in queens, new york. according to the operator of this video, a truck somehow broke some of the cables, took some with him and that sparked all these explosions on the cables that were left behind, causing some power outages.

amazingly, this is all going on while cars are still driving by. >> they probably have no idea what's going on. they're probably not even looking up at that. >> i do have another video of a different angle and it looks like the firefighters have already arrived to check out the scene, but look at this part here. >> the tree is on fire. >> we don't have any video of what happened after, but we have to guess the firefighters did their jobs and put out the fire. >> by the time they got there, it was just a pretty small little fire, so you hope they're able to take care of this pretty quickly. man, those wires burned quickly. you've got to replace all of that. . this is just a guess, but i think this little guy has seen our show. >> why is that, beth? >> let me introduce you to a little pocket gopher living in his little hole here. and a photographer placed a

camera inside hisburrow. the little pocket gopher ain't having it because he doesn't want to end up on "right this minute." look, he desperately wants his privacy. >> oh, my god, look at that! >> he's covering up the lens. >> this little guy figured out that this camera was getting into his personal space and he did not appreciate it. so this little fella figured out how to regain his privacy. so he began burrowing and pushing dirt in front of the lens to block the view. >> beth, i see your gopher and raise you one, a iguana. what's that? this. >> whoa, whoa! >> i don't think we should have that on our screen right now. >> that is what you what you think it is. that is a limbless amphibian. >> is that what they're calling them these days?

>> this grows about 30 inches long, has poor eyesight and it lives in the amazon. it is very, very rare. but they were draining a tributary on the amazon to build a dam in brazil and they discovered some of these. >> does this thing have poor eyesight because he's only got one eye? >> does this like spit poisonous venom? >> do i need protection to be around it? >> do they usually live by a big bush. >> well, it's an underwater creature, steven. >> so it likes to be moist? he's got cancer. they decide to go bald with him. but once they start going at their hair with the clippers, they're like, you know what, why don't we try a little mohawk instead. >> see what happens when friends let their friends cut their hair.

remember, "right this minute" is all new, all summer long. >> ladies, i've got a double dose of weird bird videos for you. the first one, i think this crow has got it a little bit mixed up. it's a crow that i think thinks he's a dog, because the crow is playing fetch here. they're throwing this little stick. the crow is bringing back, making little weird crow noises, tosses the stick away, crow goes and gets it, comes back, just like a dog. >> maybe the crow's best friend is a dog and learned this from watching the dog's behavior?

>> next up, we've got some bird on bird on bird conflict. a couple of people are feeding the pigeons at this park, but some sparrows come in to try to steal the seed from the pigeons. but notice who's lurking in the background. a big al ba traus, right? picks one of the sparrows up and says i'll take that. that's a bird eating a bird. >> bird on bird crime, it's getting worse and worse. >> the albatross takes the sparrow over to the grass and gulps it down. that sparrow has got to be alive. it's bird on bird on bird. >> it is, and it's bizarre. >> it's cannibalistic and it's -- and it's -- >> unconfirmed reports say the albatross then swallowed a

pigeon whole. this is a beautiful story of friends coming together to support a friend. this is chris, and chris is diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. and this image here is after he received his last round of radiation. as you can see, the physical signs of what he had to go through has manifested themselves because he's losing his hair. >> so we decided we might as well just go all the time. the first time ever in my life we'll see what it looks like to be bald. >> but when his friends heard that he was going to do that, they were like, you know what, we are going to do that with you and this is where the real story begins. the first friend to do this is tim. he's a little nervous about it. >> my haircut has been like this since 1991. >> i'm so happy he's finally getting a new style. >> once they started going at their hair with the clippers, they were like, you know what, y don't wekstd.

>> i love it. oh, my lord. >> quite a change from what he had before. >> so dave gets his haircut. this is sasha getting his haircut. this is the part where chris getz his mohawk. so they take their new looks out in public. they went out for lunch. >> check out these bozos over here. >> you saw these guys at some restaurant, you'd think those guys lose a bet? >> they went out into public, they had their fun, they had their lunch but afterward they came back home and finished and went bald. >> i love this video. this is just a group of friends supporting their friend. and it's so moving and so beautiful. and so much fun. that's the best thing you can give a person battling cancer is give them something positive, give them something hope, give them something hope. >> you think of our new hair style. >> you guys are all very handsome.

the director, right this minute via skype all the way from thailand. tell me about making this movie and the queen's involvement that made you guys say, hey, this is a story we have to tell. >> essentially her majesty the queen circuit of thailand, she about 15 years ago became part of a program to return elephants back to the forest in thailand where their numbers are rapidly diminishing. we started to follow some of the issues that asian elephants are facing in thailand. elephants actually readapt quite readily back into a wild environment unlike a lot of other wild animals. but the true measure of success was elephants actually naturally mating a and successfully givin birth in a natural environment once again and that's what exactly happened in april. so that was an amazing experience. they have the longest gestation period of any animal in the world, about a 22-month regnan i that. 22 months of being pregnant.

and that little baby, she's thriving now and basically it's incredible to see how she's adapting to her natural wild life and how the other elephants in the area that have also been reintroduced are basically forming natural wild elephant groups once again. they don't reproduce very quickly. they live easily over 60 years. one elephant's lifetime, she may have three to five calves at the most, so very much like a human in that regard. >> what can be done to prevent the dangerment of these animals? >> protection measures have to be enforced as well as having a protected habitat for them. but on a consumer level or public level, awareness is the first thing. just recognizing what's going on to these amazing creatures. >> the film opens august 12th and the narrator is william shatner. do you all remember devon and erica?

>> yes. >> and their little girl, olivia. olivia was an in vitro baby. we've had them on our show before. the last time we checked in with devon and erica, we found out they had raised enough money through their youtube channel to do in vitro a second time. if you remember, when we checked in with them back in december, they were pregnant. and they have made a fun video about that. ♪ my girl she been tripping lately ♪ been looking to start because she know this girl, she's got to be right ♪ a heat wave come knocking at her door, i've got to deal with it because my wife is pregnant ♪ ♪ pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant ♪ >> how awesome is that?

cream, a philadelphia-based ice cream company. they're known for some pretty wacky flavors. they have stuff like balsamic banana, pizza. >> are you kidding me? if i got my hands on some of that, i would look exactly like that commercial. >> if that didn't creep you out, there's one back in may very similar. >> go ahead, lick something. we lick you very much. if you want to lick something, lick us. >> little babies ice cream is in fact growing. they started out selling their product on little tricycles around the city but just recently opened up their own shop. the sick and kind of twisted mind behind the ad campaign is doug garth williams. he's joining us right this minute from oakland, california. obviously your ad campaign is working, but i've got to wonder, people are probably asking you if you're crazy, right? >> that's been well established

for a while so that's nothing new. >> where did this come from? >> ice cream makes me think of this existential dilemma where there's this human faced with these decision. it becomes a question of do you eat yourself. >> a technical question, what is this person actually covered in? >> it's actually just marshmallow. >> marshmallow cream, huh? >> yeah. we had about a 30-minute window to work with because after 30 minutes it gets to be a weird consistency. >> did you worry about creeping people out? >> ice cream has its own built-in branding. you think of childhood and fun and summer and family and so it was just the perfect blank space with the script and kind of catch people off guard. so i wouldn't be surprised if it kind of freaks people out but that's probably a good thing.
