for two young females? >> put your hands on the back of your head, interlace your fingers and do not move. >> what's going on? >> it's easy to ask that question when you don't know what happened before this. these girls could have been running from the cops for two hours in a stolen car. the women weren't even arrested, they were cuffed and released. he claims the car was stolen. we reached out to the l.a. sheriff's department and we did get a response. turns out it was a disgruntled boyfriend who called in this stolen car, which wasn't actually stolen, and that's why the girls were released an the a scorned lover. >> what do you do after somebody puts you in this situation? >> you change your facebook status to complicated. some terrifying minutes were caught by a security camera in a sydney, australia, mcdonald's. >> i honestly thought i was

going to lose her. >> we got this story from "a current affair" on channel 9 in australia. what you're seeing is a choking 14-month-old little girl at this mcdonald's. she was eating a chip and began to choke. by the time we see her in this video, she had already begun to turn blue. >> save my baby, she's choking, she's not breathing. >> the store manager, james hatcher, two other mcdonald's employees, and a drive-through customer that saw the commotion and quickly ran inside all came to the rescue. >> and she took short breaths. >> she's breathing now. >> this is relief. instant relief. >> so she was okay, she started to breathe right there? >> she was breathing on her own when paramedics got there. they took her to the hospital and determined that this little girl suffered a seizure, which is what made her choke on the food. now, this all happened last month and mcdonald's has rewarded their staff for being

so great under pressure. >> they did save a 14-month-old little girl's life. >> and still get the fries and burgers moving. how's this for an annoying sound? yes, it's a fire alarm. of course you kind of want it to be annoying but you don't want it to go off for 15 hours straight. >> what? >> overnight too. this happened in wilkinsburg. this was an apartment building. >> i've been up all night. >> the fire alarm went off for 16 hours after it was set off from popcorn. people tried to contact the manager but they were unable to get it shut off. so people had to think of ways to drown out the sound. >> got some old rags to put them up on there so the sleeking isn't so bad. >> the fire department showed up and couldn't turn it off because

of liability issues. eventually a locksmith and maintenance worker were able to turn this off and now a code enforcement supervisor is looking into why this took so long to shut this thing off. >> would i be responsible if i went bananas on those and went out and started smashing them? >> how bad do you feel if you're the guy who burnt the popcorn? >> your neighbors are going to hate you. >> hope your popcorn was good, buddy. i'm about to show you the saddest video of the day and nick is going to agree with me. >> oh, my god! >> inside that trailer is a 1969 chevy camaro. they had just left a charity car show. somebody following the driver that was pulling this trailer, the driver smelled smoke, stopped and this is what happened when they opened the door. >> the guy was probably going to check on his beloved camaro. this is a double whammy because

you lose your car and you also lose the trailer. the trailer can't be cheap either. >> i can't believe this was just at a car show and this happened. but '69 camaro, that's sad. >> how in the world did this start. >> he just had flames painted on the side of the camaro. >> the firefighters were able to put it out in about five minutes. >> oh, my god! >> water! >> water! is this your first fire? >> i don't think i would yell at the firefighters like that. they're doing the best they can. but i can understand how they're anxious because that's their baby. >> at least the truck was saved. at least they got some nice pictures of it before it puburs into flames. >> at least he got it on camera to prove to the insurance company that look, it really wasn't my fault. it did go up in flames. a pro football player meets his biggest fan. >> cameron, i'm sam.

remember, "right this minute" is all new, all summer long. >> i want to start a countdown to something very cool, because on september 22nd, 1,000 ping pong balls will be sent to the edge of space. inside the ping pong balls are individual student projects. these are called pong sacks created by kindergarteners, university professors, high

school science classes, heome schooled kids from all around the world. each individual project will be sent up into space on september 22nd. >> so there could be any number of experiments in these. >> all sports of experiments. this started out as a kick starter campaign by a guy named john powell with an all volunteer space program. they have raised more than $10,000. so this thing is going down on september 22nd. to talk to us about this project, we have john powell from j.p. aerospace and we have linda swan, she's a teacher who's helping some of the students with their projects. they're both joining us right this minute via skype. john, we think this project is so cool. give us an idea of what kind of projects are going to be sent to space inside these ping pong balls. >> i'm always completely floored with the things they have come up with. sometimes it's plant seeds and marshmallows and sometimes they put an entire science lab inside

the ping pong ball. >> how are you guys going to launch these things to the edge of space? >> a high altitude weather balloon. it comes down in a parachute. >> what is the students' reaction when they get the paunpongs back. >> everybody is ready to open it up, it's very exciting. the kids get exposed to the whole scientific method. >> is there one particular pong project that you're really excited about? >> because i don't really know what we're going to get. we already have 1200 signed up. if it has two computers, a tempt lemetry unit. if it's a marshmallow, it's a university professor. >> what? sam acho is a linebacker for the arizona cardinals and at training camp he got to beat one

oh, wow! what you're looking at is footage from a sheriff's office helicopter. on saturday a 77-year-old woman marsha harper left her home and basically got lost. this 77-year-old was suffering from diabetes, alzheimer's and dementia. >> that's a pretty tough combo. >> she had been spotted at a local food mart in seminole county. they're using the helicopter and extra red technology in order to sense her heat in this wooded area behind this food mart. this is all happening around 9:00 p.m. she left her home at 8:00 a.m., so this is hours later. but listen to the officer. >> keep walking, keep walking. what's on the other side about ten feet in front of you in that wood line. >> what he's doing is directing sheriff's deputies on the ground as to her location. you can see her body heat underneath this tree. >> things on the ground that are warmer than the ground around it appear very bright. >> exactly. >> you can see the sheriff's deputy and the woman here. >> it's like a video game.

saying that this beach isn't a public beach, it's actually a beach on military ground. so if you're going out there, you're out there at your own risk. this is what you expect to see if you go there. maybe find a beach where tanks don't come by every couple hours. my name is gayle bass and i'm a disneyaholic. i like the theme parks, everything, and i like the dream portraits using real actors and images that you see at the theme park like this one. the three hitchhiking ghosts in the haunted house. when you look in the mirror the hitchhiking ghost is in your cart. disney commissioned a photographer to do some tribute photos and that's one with will ferrell, jason segel and jack black. and so they gave us a behind-the-scenes look at how they put this picture together. what's interesting is these guys look just like the ghosts that you see at the end of the ride
