hello, everybody. i'm beth troutman. we find the best videos so you don't have to. let's start talking about them, "right this minute." a video of burglars breaking into a family's home and -- >> going through paperwork. going through everything that they can. >> find out what happened when they realized they were being watched. car after car drifts by. >> a very busy street that looks like it's in the middle of a city. >> see what happens when one drift take as turn for the worst. >> oh! music that will dgive you

chills. >> would you think that ice would make this kind of noise? >> we've got the story on how the group discovered nature's instruments. plus a jaguar stalks the world's largestan rodents and se lions -- see them catch their prey on "right this minute." >> ooh, wow. you know that feeling you get when somebody's invaded your space? this individual joe goivideo isr skin crawl. it's 7:30 at night, somebody's at matt's door. rings the doorbell a couple of times. nobody answers, because matt and his family are out of town visiting family for the holidays. nobody answers so he meets his buddy around the back of the house. three kicks to the back door and, boom, they're in the house and have free reign of the robinson family home. here are the suspects, what looks to be in the family room going through paperwork. going through everything that

they can. they had about 15 minutes in this home. you can clearly see a couple of their faces in this video. they look to be amateur burglar, and they're kind of just looking around. looking for, like a big score. you see the guy going through the furniture. cuts open this box, and at one point he realizes -- uh-oh. somebody's watching. he looks up to the corner of the room and realizes their surveillance cameras in the house. >> busted! >> you can clearly see the camera. he tries to cover his face then approaches the camera and turns the camera around to face the wall, but -- of course, they've already got a ton of video of these guys. they didn't stop there. he also cuts the wire to the camera, and some of the other suspects are believed to have dumped bleach on the dvr box. on the box that records all of these images, but as can you tell, we're seeing this video. so the bleach damaged the recorder box, but not the hard drive that the video was stored on. in all of these, the suspects

got away with about $1,500 in cash and electronics, and matt realize head wasn't able to view his camera from the smartphone. so he called a relative to check on the house and noticed the damage. >> imagine seeing your own house and people that shouldn't be there going through your stuff. it's very violating, unsettling, and you lose your peace of mind. >> matt robinson spoke to the raleigh police and he believes these guys live in his neighborhood. maybe nearby and knew he was out of town when they kicked in the door. maybe that's why they were able to break in at 8:44 on saturday night. not in the middle of the night kind of thing. >> amazing that anyone tries to do this anymore. seems like everyone is going to eventually get caught. as we've learned on this show "right this minute," dogs and ponds don't always mix, especially whenthe pondsov check this out from missouri. somebody was walking their dog

and apparently another dog got spooked and it got stuck in the pond. the fire department was called in ho help. they have the ladder truck out but also called in dan hill. >> the city parks have their, their water's roughly four feet deep. so they decided to send the tall guy in. that was me. >> he said it was his first day on the job at the station, and they thought, let's send in the tall guy. >> he goes the diplomatic way of saying, man, he got the job. more likely it's that he's the new guy and he got the icy cold indoctrination. >> he says once he got in the dog helped him out. >> he was kind of coming towards me. i think he knew what i was out there dot. i think he was happy to see me. >> he goes out in a basket a rope tied to him and rescues the dog. you know sometimes they try to scamper away? this one is like, give me all your lovin'. >> he's so fast. >> got the blanky. give that dog an i.v. and

oxygen, but the dog had a collar on. they gave it to the humane society, but they're not giving it up for adoption because they're going to try to find the owner. a couple incident of driving predicaments you definitely don't want to be in. this one is some saudi arabia. of course, what you see a lot of in saudi arabia, drifting. and, of course, on very busy street that looks like it's in the middle of the city. well, look at this next drifter coming down the street very fast. drifting away, but as he gets to the end of this road -- >> oh! >> ooh. >> as he gets to the end of road, a driver coming from the other street has no idea what's going on on this side. he has very little time to react. and then the guy drifting -- >> at the risk of sounding heartless, i don't care when i see them wreck their own car, because they're putting themselves at risk. if that's the risk they take, then fine.

of the drummers and his wife were out visiting this lake and walking on it. she fell and he heard this sound, was amazed by it and was like, wait. how did you do that? he went back. showed his buddies, and they all decided to go back and record this video of them drumming on the ice created by the waves of this lake. ♪ >> i'm glad there's a story behind this. never would you think that ice would make this kind of noise. >> right. and it's just in this area, because it's supposed to be the deepest lake in the world, but this area that they're playing in, the ice apparently is about one meter thick, and only about five meters of water below that. >> i just think it's pretty awesome that these guys are that talented, they were able to create this really cool rhythmic song with nothing but ice.
