elaborate surprise. and two guys get ready to race. >> you are not going to believe how they are racing. >> oh! >> skid marks. there is skid marks. >> this video made me go holy schnikeyes. i want to see your reaction. bus driver cruising along. sees something, ducks. >> what the heck? >> no. >> just in time to miss a lamp post that was about to take his noggin off. watch this thing in slow motion smash through the front of the bus. people in the neighborhood had calling him a hero for hitting the brakes. he clearly got hit by this lamp post and it could have been so much worse. >> that is unreal. where did the lamp post come from? >> here is the answer. take a look at this. you see a car crashing into that

lamp post. that's what knocked it down and into the path of this bus. >> talk about timing. >> here is the cabin. you see everybody slide forward as he is jamming on the brakes and the massive lamp post comes crashing through. >> those are really quick reflexes and in order for him to get out of the way and get his bus kind of out of the way. how is he doing? he did get a clean knock to the head. >> the bus driver appears to be -- doesn't seem to have life-threatening injuries. some reports say a ruptured spleen. could have been a lot worse is right. >> there has been a recent lawsuit filed against an atlanta police officer and an ihop and here is why. it all stems back from these videos from april 11. what we're seeing is officer jose vidal off duty working security detail and trying to remove two girls you see in this one booth because they were apparently too loud. now, this girl here is ashley

lavelle. the reason she is filming, she is trying to communicate that. she is recording. he was being a little too rough. watch what happens next. from a different angle you see she does put her arm on the officer. you see the officer kind of slapping her and she swings at him a few times and then this. hits her in the face and takes her down and here it is again in slow motion. ashley has her hand on the officer's shoulder and does a couple swings and this is officer jose vidal, looks like a right cross right to ashley's face. the atlanta police department said that ashley struck the officer three times and his reaction was reasonable force. now ashley is suing the officer and the ihop for unjustified force. right this minute we have ashley's attorney craig z jones joining us to talk about the lawsuit. craig, she was arrested that night. what's the stat with us that

case? >> the charges are still pending. they have never given her a trial date. >> tell us what you are trying to accomplish with this lawsuit. how is ashley doing now? >> the lawsuit is to recover damages she suffered from injuries and we feel like she should be compensated for that. >> we understand the atlanta police department has cleared officer jose vidal. how does that affect your lawsuit? >> the police department never saw ashley's video so they don't know what it was that the officer was doing before the incident happened. i think if they knew that, i think her behavior would be more understandable. >> she hit a police officer. >> she tapped him on the arm and he slapped in the face and she swung at him twice. what we're suing for is because he slugged her while she was being held down and didn't pose any threat. >> ashley didn't actually know the other two girls in the video, right? >> she had no idea who they were, she just saw the police

officer smashing the girls against the wall and she was trying to make a video record of what happened. >> oh! >> these are some andrews university students at the camp at camp sable in michigan. they have dr. gordan and he is talking to the group saying we're going to execute this rescue and you are wondering what are they going to rescue. >> a deer, a dog, a duck, naked guy. >> it would be a deer. >> the darn deer. >> it is a doe, a female deer, stuck in the ice at lake shellen barringer, so the students along with the doctor decided to take a boat up there to get in the water to help free the deer. they are using the boat to scooter over to the edge. struggling to get up and think she may have hypothermia and too tired to do it. it is lift her up and put her in the boat. >> put her in the boat? >> the good doc puts the deer

inside and he single-handedly is able to get the deer in without any help from the girls. you can see the stuff she had stuck to her and she is in the boat and she is actually a good traveller. she doesn't buck around or anything. she is cold and hungry and ready to get out of there. >> once they get to shore they carry her and the boat back to the truck and eventually she has enough strength to get out although she has a little miss step at first. >> a little wobbly on the legs and eventually after she is out of the boat and on the ground she gets up and scampers away as she regains some of her momentum. well done, students of andrews university. terrible weather coupled with drivers inability to maneuver in it made a bad situation worse in ohio. this is a scene of an accident on a freeway there. you can
