hi, everybody, i am beth troutman. we have the best videos of the day "right this minute." surveillance cameras catch an suv pulling up and a man walking up casually. the video shocker that has professional hit written all over it. >> he tackled a stabbing suspect and promptly blew up the internet. meet the student who is now big man on campus. >> you got 21 girls in the first class, hoping that all of them will be just standing there with their numbers. >> not all of them. >> a terrible scene with a 2-year-old, three stories high, hanging by the neck. he has his hands up.
1:01 pm
>> how a dude went all spider-man to save the day. and a guy loses his wallet, cash, and credit cards, but dude was hungry. >> we went to the internet for help. >> see how read it really delivered. >> this is the pizza. >> are you kidding? >> an incredibly scary moment caught on surveillance video in russia. you see this suv pulling up into this view of the camera and then a man walks up very casually holding a paper bag and he is very sharply makes a 90 degree turn towards the suv and shoots. >> what? this is like he is a hired assassin or something. >> exactly what authorities believe. if you see the guy tries to shoot again and apparently the gun misfired. that is when he takes off running. >> in the car with the 56-year-old owner of a business in russia. he is able to get out of the car, run into the business, but
1:02 pm
you see the assassin chase after him to try to shoot again and he is unable to. he takes off running. we later see a man running behind the assassin. we don't know what his involvement in this case is. >> this is like a scene you see in a jason borne film or something. totally russian hit file. >> yep. a little while later you see emergency workers walk out of that door with the man to take him to the hospital. he did survive the injuries and is in stable condition, but talk about a very close call for him. >> yeah. he may be a hired assassin. he is a terrible shot. that was nearly a point-blank range shot and missed. the guy got out, no problems at all. >> did he miss or was it a misfire? that guy was lucky. he came after him two times with the gun. >> the first time he shot him in the arm and ebb second time the gun misfired. >> this case is still under
1:03 pm
investigation. police are still trying to figure out who this guy is and if anyone else is involved. another questionable incident by police caught on camera. this time in mission beach, san diego. two bicycle officers have three guys stopped because they were smoking cigarettes on the boardwalk which in san diego you cannot do. here you see the cop writing a ticket for that incident. when he soon realizes he is being recorded. >> no, thank you. >> i have a right to from him this. i am in a public spot. >> this is not a weapon. theres no way this can be a weapon. >> the officer says it could be a weapon, and he asks, let me inspect it, then. >> i am not using it as a weapon. you may not touch my cell phone. >> take it away. >> no, you will not. >> as ridiculous as that sounds, take a look at this video of this cell phone looking device with four 22 caliber bullets inside. >> no way. >> so the cell phone gun exists.
1:04 pm
the officer is not that far off base. >> no. no. >> he grakz the phone out of the hand and the camera goes smashing to the ground and so does adam. the other officer takes adam down, puts a knee into his back and adam winds up with a split chin and hauled off to the police department. >> that phone gun looked pretty thick, not like a regular cell phone, like an old model phone. >> a second camera begins recording and the officer says if he would have handed over the phone i could have taken a look and none of this would have happened. >> he would have handed it to you. >> no problem. >> looked at it? >> i have seen it now. no problem. >> given it back and we would have been done. >> we had a chance to speak with adam via skype earlier today. here is what he had to say. >> i have done research online where it is not illegal. it is the u.s. supreme court said it, your first amendment right and in the course of an investigation, in a public spot. that's what i was doing. i was three to four feet away from the officers and made no advancements towards them.
1:05 pm
i had done nothing wrong to warrant what they did to me. >> where is the case now. >> the sdaed police department says this matter is under investigation. they told us they would reach out to adam and adam does confirm they have tried getting in contact. >> what i would like to see happen is first of all all charges against me dropped. i would like charges brought against these officers for what they did to me. i would like them informed of what the law is. and citizens can videotape police in the course of an investigation. >> no. it is a cell phone. i am calling this the story of the reluctant hero. he wasn't rectant when he dangl antitheft bars and climbed up a wall to rescue him. this little boy is two years old. he is three stories up. hanging by the neck. he has his hands up, and people on the ground are watching and 20-year-old leylink way saw him and shimmied up a water pole.
1:06 pm
you can see somebody is inside trying the help the boy and they can't get him out but he climbs up the pole and is able to help out and hold the little boy up and kind of push him up. he wasn't able to push him up all the way. you can see how he is holding on with one arm and holding the boy with the other, a very dangerous position for him to be in. >> and holding him like that is giving this kid a graek. he is dangling before and now he is being supported by this guy. >> eventually rescue crews came and they worked on the metal and were able to open it to where the little boy was rescued. the reason i called him a reluctant hero is right after the rescue he disappeared. police were looking for him for a week. the parents wanted to thank him for rescuing this 2-year-old boy. finally, he finds out, oh, these people are looking for me. he eventually shows back up and they talk to him and the dad is shaking his hand, very thankful this guy put his own safety aside to help this little boy.

1:09 pm
>> i don't go back until tomorrow, so i will find out. i have 21 girls in class. >> hoping that all of them will be just standing there with their numbers ready to give you? >> not all of them. >> smart answer, my friend. >> have you considered wearing some sort of cape into class or a superman t-shirt? >> i will wear the superman shirt tomorrow. >> what with b all the picture from instagram all over the web and people talking about them? did you ever think people would be looking at it and talking about it? >> no, i didn't. at first i started with 180 people and now i have about 4,000 people. pretty amazing. i have been working out for like the past year and lost 75 pounds and got in great shape and i can defend myself pretty well so i felt like i could have done something about this. >> make sure you keep all the girls names straight. she is a paraplegic and that ain't no thing. >> forget about walking.

1:13 pm
>> so cool. >> you can hear him cheering. >> this is especially awesome because samson is a paraplegic. he is a 2010 pair oh plimp an and x games gold medalist in 2012 and became paralyzed after a mountain bike accident. >> and he spent time trying to figure out how he could pull this off. he designed and he shall equipment that would allow him to do this safely. >> forget about walking, this dude is doing what lots of people that walk can't do. that's fly over a ski slope. as you know the internet can be a magical place. a guy named adam lost his wallet which means he didn't have any cash and his credit cards and couldn't get new ones and the dude was hungry. couldn't eat. went to the internet for help.

1:15 pm
>> domino's, man. >> sorry, sorry. >> the internet is delivering pizza to strangers. >> thank you very much. this is inspired my belief in the human race. >> yea, jenn. >> want a slice? >> i am good. i had some already. to russia where driving like a maniac is pretty much standard. this time it is one car crashing through the snow. >> and can you say excuse moi. >> for years i idolized one man tracking down his skreets for health, fitness, and romance. >> and that is fabio. >> no joke. >> see the fabulous one-on-one next. &
