>> and why people around the world -- >> are mesmerized by this. >> it's hard to imagine how an accident like this can happen. >> whoa! >> that guy was just parked in the middle of the road. >> it wasn't parked. that was a couple on a motorcycle going down an ohio road, and that's video from an ohio state police trooper's car. the trooper is 30-year-old jacob damon and this accident happened back in august. the video just being released. watch as the cruiser pulls them over on the side of the road and reverses back to the impact. >> how did that happen? >> that's what's hard to understand, even after seeing the video. and state police still have the incident under question. they don't have an answer how this happened.

especially how trooper damon was twice named trooper of the year in 2010 and 2012 and he got the save driving award in 2010. it doesn't make sense this accident could happen. >> were his lights flashing? was he speeding somewhere? was he on his way to case? >> his lights were not on. he's on his way to work. he was not in a hurry to get to an accident. his lights were not on. the on thing that i could see is that possibly the motorcyclists were going too slow for the highway, maybe trooper damon came too fast and came upon this motorcycle and didn't see them. >> is the couple okay? >> cory waldman was driving the motorcycle, his wife, amy, was on the back. they were both wearing helmets. they were both transported to the hospital and have both been released from the hospital. that's all good news. still the question remains as to how this accident happened. >> a 40-ache are fire in sonoma,
