gallon. >> hena daniels at the new york stock exchange. hena, you will be back with more business headlines a little bit later on in the broadcast, so we will see you then. michigan governor's rick snyder wants president obama to reconsider his decision not to declare a federal disaster due to the flint water crisis. more than a hundred thousand flint residents are getting bottled water delivered to their homes. governor rick snyder released e-mails about the crisis and as adriana diaz reports, the - governor has some tough questions to answer. >> governor, is the water in flint safe today? >> we don't want to consider it safe, scott. >> reporter: michigan governor rick snyder admitted to cbs news scott pelley that flint's contaminated water situation got away from his state agency charged with oversight. >> they were too technical. they followed literally the rules. they didn't use enough common sense. >> reporter: wednesday, snyder released e-mails that reveal he was aware of complaints about water quality from flint residents dating back as far as

eight months later, flint switched back to detroit's water system but the damage to the pipes was done. >> what is inexplicable and inexcusable is once people figured out that there was a problem there and there was lead in the water, the notion that immediately, families weren't notified. >> reporter: cases of bottled water are pouring into this warehouse and now there are enough supplies and people to get the water to the doorsteps of the city's 100,000 residents. abby carridy got her first delivery on wednesday. the finger at one person to blame, it's a time for us to come up with a solution. >> reporter: they took a sample of her water for lead testing on wednesday but she won't see the results for weeks. >> we need to know immediately what is in our houses. >> reporter: president obama has pledged $5 million in emergency assistance but governor snyder

maven and it will start right away to serve the university of michigan community, before expanding to two major communities later in the year. you can rent a car $6 through an app. there is no membership fee. the world's largest retailer walmart says it's giving most of its employees a pay raise. more than $1.2 million hourly walmart workers in the u.s. will see a bump in their paychecks beginning february 20th. the average full-time hourly wage will be $13.38 an hour. still below the $14.95 national average for hourly retail workers. amazon is offering a full refund on any hoverboard sold on its site. the popular two-wheel balancing boards have been plagued by falls resulting in serious injuries and fires. the consumer product safety commission has been investigating hoverboard safety since december. it recommends anyone using a hoverboard have a fire extinguisher nearby when using

the country. if you have ever wanted to tour buckingham palace without leaving the states, google has a solution for you. you can now tour the palace with 360-degree views or in virtual reality through google's youtube app for smartphones. the tour includes the grand staircase and the throne room. the buffalo bills have made a historic hire, adding the first woman in nfl history as a full-time member of their coaching staff. kathryn smith is taking over as special teams quality control coach for next season. smith spent this year as an administrative assistant for the bills' coaches. she has been with head coach rex ryan the past seven seasons and going back to when he coached the jets. ryan praised smith, saying in a statement, she has proven that she is ready for the next step, so i'm excited and proud for her

well, don't look now. but as the new england patriots close in on another super bowl appearance, there's a new controversy over footballs at their home stadium. before last week's playoff game at gillette stadium, an official forgot some of the balls and pressure gauges in his hotel room. massachusetts state police were called and they delivered the balls to the stadium. the incident happened two days the deflategate scandal in the afc championship game. the patriots will try to return to their second straight super bowl this sunday but they have to make it through denver first. the broncos host the afc championship game right here on cbs. kickoff is at 3:00 p.m. eastern. our coverage starts an hour earlier with the "nfl today." the first performers for the 58th annual grammy awards have been announced. >> ten-time grammy winner adele will perform, as well as
