zika virus is spreading explosively, by the end of the year could infect 4 million people. it is in 23 countries now, including the u.s., with 31 cases in 11 states and d.c. since last year. so far all of the patients here were infected by mosquitos abroad but that's likely to change. the virus first discovered in the 1940s is linked to serious birth defects dr. jon lapook has the rest. >> questions about we need to get some answers quickly. >> the organization will convene an emergency meeting on monday to plan its response. the zika virus linked to children born with small heads

journey of a lifetime, a couple of old salts sail from nway to maine. they've been at it for months but haven't made much progress so we sent mark phillips to check on them. >> there's a reason stephen weiss and bob shapiro has been called the calamity crew, their boat isn't so much an accident waiting to happen but an accident that keeps happening over and over again. this was just the latest. firemen had to put out a blaze when a burning candle tipped over as the boat hit the bottom at low tie. or this time when rescue services had to be called out off scotland or here when steve and bob needed help off the coast of ireland. >> how many times have you called for help.

receive $600,000 in fees from the wall street firm. this morning, a small number of armed protesters continue to occupy a federal wildlife refuge in oregon. they are negotiating with authorities. meanwhile, as danielle nottingham reports, the fbi released video of the shooting death of the group's spokesman. we have a warning for you -- this report contains graphic video. >> reporter: new video from an fbi plane shows law enforcement stopping ammon bundy and several of his followers in two vehicles tuesday. a white truck carrying the group's spokesman, lavoy finicum and bundy's brother ryan and two others speeds away but swerves to avoid a road block and narrowly misses law enforcement officers. shortly after, finicum gets out and is seen reaching for his jacket and one oregon state trooper opens fire and the shooter killed finicum and wounded ryan bundy. several weapons were found inside the vehicle. >> we did everything we could to bring this situation to a peaceful resolution.
