university in detroit was shot in the adequate hen in critical condition. the officer was investigating possible theft last night and radio he is about to question someone. last night a man considered a person of interest was taken into custody and police say they have no motive. there are other police shootings building week in texas, missouri, and florida. four people were injured by a fire at a louisiana oil refinery. the victims were rushed to a hospital in baton rouge listed in critical condition. the fire started when workers following repair work. the exxonmobil refinery is the fourth largest in the u.s. authorities say more wildfires are being deliberately set each day in the southeast. currently, there are 44 uncontained wildfires burning in the south. some of the largest are in western north carolina. firefighters are battling drought conditions and high winds in more than 120,000 acres have burned so far. coming up on the "morning news."

antonio reports on the remarks about a killing of a city police detective. from the man accused of the crime, otis mckane lashed out at somebody that didn't deserve it when he lashed out at marconi. he was married between sunday and the time of his arrest. a protester might lose her left arm. by a concussion grenade thrown by police early monday when authorities confronted demonstrators in north dakota. police say no concussion grenade were used. philly.com reports a man was injured yesterday when a packaged delivered to his philadelphia home exploded. the 60-year-old man is hospitalized with injuries to his face, chest, and hands. investigators believe the victim was targeted. the sacramento bee says a

on their packets of dehydrated delicacies. feast? that may be a strong word. on on the cbs "moneywatch." millions lose out on overtime pay and a strike may delay your amazon package. jill wagner is at the new york stock exchange with that and more. >> reporter: the record setting post elect rally continued on wall street. the dow passed 19,000 mark for the first time ever. friday and got to wear them yesterday. a little cheer on the floor when the dow hit that milestone. overall, the dow gained 67 points yesterday and the s&p picked up four and the nasdaq finished 17 points higher. opec could agree to a deal to cut oil production at its meeting next week but backing from iran and iraq is far from uncertain. crude lost 21 cents yesterday but the international standard

regulation that would have extended overtime eligibility to more than 4 million workers. it was supposed to take effect december 1st. 21 state attorneys general and a coalition of business groups sued to block the regulation. the injunction is temporary but the decision indicates the judge may side with the plaintiffs. wells fargo must get permission from federal regulators before handing departing executives called the new restriction on operations is the latest fallout from the sales scandal that rocked the bank. wells fargo agreed to a 184 million dollar settlement after admitting employees opened up accounts that customers didn't ask for. the bank fired about 5,300 workers for opening those fake accounts. as the holiday shopping season gets into full swing, pilots for cargo airline that carries packages for amazon and dhl walked off the job.
