the nation's favorite television mom has passed away. florence henderson.. better known as carol brady on "the brady bunch"... died of heart failure last night in los angeles.. surrounded by family and friends. she was 82-years-old.... stephanie elam reports how the brady bunch star made her way through an incredible career. natsot: the brady bunch theme that lovely lady is america's favorite mom - carol brady - on the 19-70's hit t-v sitcom, the brady bunch. but her real story wasn't so ideal. born in 19-34 in dale, indiana, henderson grew up poor, with an alcoholic father and a mother who left when she was just 12-years old. henderson used her singing talent to entertain the family and help make ends meet.
