visibility. dusty and the wind is a big factor. the wind advisory has been extended across portions of southern california and southern nevada. with the wind, we have cleared out a lot of the cloud, we had earlier today. the wind advisory extended until 10:00 p.m. today for portions of western clark county. we are watching for portions of california. if you're going to be making this trek home, watch for elevations. maybe you saw from the spring mountains around red rock, they had little bit of a dusting as well. a lot of cloud cover and pockets of heavy rain. if you are in the northwest part of town, a little heavier

around henderson, not too bad. this is a vast improvement from what we had six hours ago. no wind gusts picking up. that's not the case for all areas. still seeing spots between 15 to 20 miles per hour wind. breezes continue in the western part of town as well as here is the snow. you can see some spots where it's falling. it was falling as snow. they are adding to their snow levels around lead canyon. coding the shoot .mountains.

[cheering] >> reporter: 725 fifth avenue also known as trump tower might be getting a new tenant, the secret service. a law enforcement official tells cnn the secret service is considering renting a whole floor of the same tower in order to establish a 24/7 command post ensuring the safety of the future first family who won't be all moving to the white house in january. melania trump and 13-year-old son barron trump will remain in trump tower. regardless of when they relocate, the command post at trump tower won't be cheap. the going price for the space, around $1.5 million per year. the price tag is striking, but

raises eyebrows. the trump foundation owns trump tower, so the taxpayers will be paying president-elect for his own security. officials tell cnn security plans are still evolving since many things are up in the air, like when the future first family will move to the white house and how often the them in the meantime. >> paul: separate law enforcement official said the number of nypd officers protecting trump tower could grow to 300 at a cost of about $1 million a day. officials say a separate command may be needed to focus on security for the future president. the search to find the rightful owner of a purple heart metal continues.
