((nia wong)) >> brian and kirsten. today schools and government offices in cuba are closed. but depending on where you go....reactions about the cuban leader are mixed. >> we're told there's going to be an major outpouring today in havana's revolution plaza to pay tribute to fidel castro. it's there were people can sign a book of condolences. a public ceremony is also planned in the square on tuesday. 1959...he gained many critics throughout the world and thousands of cubans fled to miami. in little havana...there were different emotions this weekend. more remorseful than reverant. many in miami considered fidel a brutal dictator. now that he's gone...cuban-ame ricans are hopeful for the future. assault of an 8-year-old girl on thanksgiving. this is the sketch police sent out... it happened near lake mead and buffalo.. where police say t were playing outside.. when a man approached them. the suspect told the victim's brother to go inside.. so he could talk to the girl alone. police say that's when he took her around a building to a secluded area.. and sexually assaulted her. anyone with information is urged to call police. /// ((brian loftus)) it's another big shopping day... cyber monday.. and these deals aren't stopping anytime soon.. ((nia wong)) >> many cubans say they're hopeful this could bring further change to the thawing relations between the u-s and cuba. president obama just struck a deal with the country to reopen diplomatic relations after more than 50 years. live in the studio. nia wong 8 news ((kirsten joyce)) castro's death has sparked more interest in traveling to cuba... but depsite re-establishing diplomatic relations... it's not easy to book a flight. to travel there, you need to fall into one of twelve categories approved by the u-s government... including visting relatives, educational research.. or traveling to compete as an athlete. you'll need to sign an affidavit.. that qualifies you for one of the categories. and you'll also need a visa and travel insurance... currently, four airlines fly to

"nextdoor" recently did a survey.. and found nearly half of residents across the country reported a stolen package. 61% say they didn't have one delivered.. because they were afraid it would be stolen. 80% were likely to ask a neighbor to keep an eye out for the delivery. u-p-s is expecting to deliver more than 600- million packages by new year's day.

police say the driver who crashed into a burlington coat factory store.. was not impaired. lington coat it happened near tropicana and eastern... driver lost control of her car.. and crashed into the front wall of the store. firefighters were able to rescue an employee... who was pinned underneath that wall. several customers had minor injuries... the driver is currently at the hospital recovering. /// ((kirsten joyce)) the d-m-v is expected to be extra busy today and tomorrow. monday and tuesday after thanksgiving tend to be the busiest days of the year. if you live near the sahara dmv... it just closed for the next two weeks. the new sahara office will open
