to the shooting./// ((christianne klein)) nevada lawmakers are still trying to hammer out last-minute details... in the month before recreational marijuana sales begin in the silver state. as patrick walker shows us... there are still a number of issues that will have to be addressed in the upcoming legislative session. ((patrick walker)) when voters passed question 2 in november... they adopted a broad plan to legalize recreational marijuana in nevada. that left the task of creating the rules and regulations to hold up the program... to but state senator tick segerblom says nevada's medical marijuana program has provided a solid framework from which to build the recreational program. sales licenses. the department of taxation is still working on the permit process. but segerblom hopes lawmakers will adopt temporary rules allowing recreational sales in existing dispensaries. he says they are equipped to handle both sides simultaneously.. by charging different tax rates for medical and recreational pot. ((christianne klein)) nevada is one of 18 states that will get grants to develop early learning programs. the money will go to help pre-school- age children from low- to- moderate- income families. nevada will get 13 million dollars from the 247- million being awarded. nevada is among 12 states in the program that haven't met or exceeded their targets under the program./// ((paul joncich)) well that didn't take long... just months after mgm res charging for parking on the strip... two more casino companies are following suit. ((christianne klein)) >> caesars entertainment announced they'll start charging for parking and valet next month... but locals will still be able to park for free. ((paul joncich)) >> just today... wynn and encore said they're going to start charging for valet... but self parking will remain free for now. and get ready for december 29-th... because that's when m-g-m's locals- exemption will be tossed out... so we'll all have to start paying at m-g-m properties! the east part of the valley where we're lower in elevation. while areas to the far west colder and just below freezing this morning and only low 50's this afternoon. ................................ ... .... regional temps also stayed colder for the southern great basin and of course searchlight. still unseasonably cold in the 50's also for mesquite down the colorado river valley to laughlin and death valley where they were milder, but still chilly for this time of year. ................................ ... ........ high clouds pushing through but still staying mostly clear. snow in the north part of the stay near ely and elko again along with the bitterroots and the wasatch. next trough digs deep in utah and brings another shot of colder air and breezes heading into your weekend. then colder next week from the next system that barrels through as well. ....................... ............ ............. tonight expect temps in the mid to high 30's by morning. no freeze warning issued. we'll have mostly clear skies and light winds. tomorrow expect a high in the
