fox business network and "wall street journal" who hosted this one said they really wanted to focus on policy and i think we did see that tonight. >> what about the candidates? anyone have a breakout moment or a significant moment for you? >> i didn't see any in the main stage debate real single moment that stole the show. i do think in the undercard debate, we saw chris christie, who are recently been demoted to that junior varsity stage have a couple of moments that looked really good for him. >> if -- if anybody believes the stuff they heard from that democratic debate a few weeks ago, there is nothing for free. what they forgot to tell you was that -- >> so we are just seeing a little bit of chris christie right now. you know, i wondered whether or not being on the undercard stage would actually help him? because there are fewer candidates, despite the fact that fewer people will probably see his performance. we do have a bite from christie in the undercard debate and we

>> they are building those artificial artificial islands in the south china sea. the president wouldn't fly a plane over it. the first thing i'll do with the chinese is fly air force one over those islands. they will know we mean business. >> an applause line for him. do you think this helped him? he kind of needs it. >> i don't know about that line because i think of flying the president over a chinese military installation is questionable. other than that, he had a lot of good moments in the debate. he really focused on hillary. even as bobby jindal was really trying to attack him. we saw john kasich and carly fiorina use that undercard debate to propel them in the polls. the question is can someone who dropped down to it have that same snesk. >> right. let me ask you about ben carson now. leading up to the debate there was a lot of discussion about

not his auto biography was accurate or not. he wanted to only discuss the issues. how do you think his performance was? >> well, i don't think he really addressed the question about the -- various questions about his biography. in fact, he made a point not doing so. afterwards in the spin room i was saying to him, these are stories you've told in your books and speeches, why don't you want to talk about them now? and he said that he is going to start telling reporters who ask this stuff to, quote/unquote, go jump in a lake, and as far as he is concerned, the auto biography has been written and it's not autobiography any more and we will see if that defense holds up with the public.

>> thanks for having very nice. >> i wouldn't mess with you! >> well, republicans denounced clinton for laughing off the remark. a spokesperson for the republican national committee said clinton and the democrats lost all credibility, claiming to be a party that stands for women. coming up on "cbs this morning," we will talk about last night's gop debate with senator marco rubio and preview saturday's democratic debate with "face the nation" modereror and cbs news news political director john dickerson. the owner of a small jet that crashed into an ohio apartment building says there were nine people on board. there were no survivors. the two pilots and seven passengers were flying from dayton, to akron yesterday morning. the jet went down two miles from the akron airport. federal investigators are due at kris van cleave reports.

>> reporter: the plane crashed in akron, ohio, setting an apartment building and a home on fire. police say everyone on board was killed. the jet can carry ten. >> all of a sudden, this plane just dropped out of the sky. it just like, veered sideways and plowed right into the due flexes there and it was just an instanttoom and flames and smoke and it was horrific. it was terrible. >> reporter: a woman recording a video on her cell phone captured the moment the hawker business jet crashed. it went down on approach to akron's airport just before 3:00 tuesday afternoon. >> the plane, when it did go down, it struck the one house and t tn continued on into an embankment just behind that house. >> reporter: the corenereoner says she is waiting for specialists and that may not happen until wednesday morning.

all bets off for two daily fantasy sports companiesn new york state. the new york's attorney general ordered draftkings and fanduel to step accepting bets in the state because the operations are illegal games of chance, not skill. eric snyderman said advertising from the two companies misled players about their chances of winning. both companies are reviewing their legal options and said their games are legal and based on skill. following a late day surge, stocks finished mostly higher on wall street. the dow gained about 27 points. the s&p added three and nasdaq, though, lost 12 points. federal prosecutors charged three men in c cnection with last year's massive ber attack against j.p. morgan and other financial institutions. the men allegedly stole the personal information of more than 83 million jpmorgan chase customers. this is described as one of the largest thefts of financial related data in history.

the country. a university of missouri professor steps down after a confrontation with a student journalist. and an unusual security scare at the white house. those are some of thee headlines on the morning newsstands. >> "the washington post" reports on the arrest of a man accused of using a sling-shot to launch an object at the white house. secret service agents tackled the man, adam olson, along the street on tuesday. he faces assault with a dangerous weapon and other charges. a secret service sweep did not find the object. the richmond timeses d dpatch reports on theherrest of a suspected white supremacists in a weapons case. federal authorities say the oup was preparing fowhat it called an impending race war. the fbi says two of the men tried to buy an automatic weapon, explosives, and a pistol with a silencer. they allegedly wanted to attack

synagogues and black churches. > "the waco tribune" reports a grand jury indicted 106 bikers in the may shoot-out that killed nine bikers and wounded 20 more. the indictment charged the bikers with engaging in organized criminal activity. the cases of 80 or more bikers remain. investigators say it started as a confrontation between two motorcycle clubs.
