3 3 the spencer community is mourning the loss of a beloved student and athlete who passed away saturday night. as our sports director chris neyenhouse shows us... a lot of people are shocked by his sudden death. 3 spencer's austin roberts, an iowa state finalist wrestler last year, had just stepped back into the center of the ring during friday night's annual spencer invitational. "it wasn't something that happened in the match. it didn't appear that there was an injury that happned to austin during that match. as i said, coming back to the center of the mat and collapsed. and that's really rushed austin here to the spencer commununy hospspal emergency room. as teammates, coaches cheerleaders and family members gathered roberts passed away. he was 18 years old."we don't know what the cause was. not going to speculate necessarily what caused this to happen."school superintendent terry hemann is the spokesperson for this grieving school community today. he says there has not been an autopsy scheduled for austin yet. school will be back in session monday and tuesday before winter recess. he'll be thinking about the young man who was much more to this community than a special talent in the wrestling ring. a go fund me campaign here has already raised over 20 thousand dollars for austin's family as of sunday evening. (jenna ) we grow the cells for several weeks so we grow millions of your cells which are equivalent to the original cells we collected and we cryo preserve them meaning we freeze them. the plan is to charge customers $300 for a home collection kit - that's proprietary technology - and a yearly fee - roughly $25 to keep the cells frozen until you need them. (chris ) i think the science is fantastic, we asked dr. christian hall a pioneer in finger tip regeneration if all this is just science fiction - he say's its not.(chris ) there is no topside limit to what stem cells and regenerative medicine may be able to do. only you can use your own ips cells. (jenna ) that means those of us in our 20,30 and 40's right now will have access to that in our 60's and 70's and 80's instead of being the generation that's too late.3
