smoke and water damage... city officials have red - tagged the home. 3 3 a home in norfolk is being called a total loss after a fire sunday night.firefighters were called to a home in the 26 - hundred block of west benjamin avenue in norfolk just before 11 o'clock. fire and smoke was coming from the back of the two - story home.all the people inside got out before firefighters got there.it took crews an hour to get the fire under control... it was more difficult because of the frigid temperatures. investigators say an electrical short in the home's attic caused the fire. 3 3 and investigators in the central iowa town of boxholm think they knonowhat causeed a fire that killed a woman and her three children this weekend. the fire started saturday night... it took firefighters from 9 separate departments to put it out. the state fire marshal is still investigating... but the local fire chief says he thinks a space heater is what started the fire.
