3 the hunt is on in the florida everglades. the target? an out - of - control snake species. burmese pythons are not venomous... but they *are* big... strong... and deadly. they also threaten the ecosystem in the everglades. reporter mark (storss - mun) strassmann showus how hundreds of hunters are part of the month - long "python challenge." 3 ctm script:(nat sot) guys on a hunt (narr) in the florida everglades, this is "basking season" for burmese pythons.when the cold-blooded snakes seek out the warmth of the sun. having those questions answered by the administration. leaders in the republican - controlled house say the bill is dead on arrival there. 3 3 the iowa utilities board has wrapped up its *fourth* day of hearings on the proposed bakken oil pipeline. the pipeline would run through 17 iowa counties... a few of them in northwest iowa. it's opposed by environmentali sts and property rights groups... but has already won state approval in north and south dakota and illinois. the company behind the project says it's gotten agreements from 80 percent of affected landowners in iowa... and it want the state to grant eminent domain rights to get the last 20 percent. 3 they call it "thrill hill." and the people who live along that dangerous sioux city street are still looking for answers. they met with city officials... trying to find ways to stop the speeders... and the accidents... that have plagued their neighborhood for years.

violent crimes. well he was in court yesterday... and our siouxland news reporter (yet - ska) jetske (wah - ron) wauran was there as the judge set a three - hundred thousand dollar bond. 3 days after he was involved in a police shooting, isaiah mothershed made his first court appearance thursday afternoon."it is believe that you committed these offenses. based on your financial circumstances, i have appointed attorney matt metzgar to represent you."over the last 3 months, the 18- year-old has been linked to several violent crimes where he utilized crowbars, pistol whipped a victim, assualted a 19-year-old man with special needs, and nearly shot a woman, to the latest incident where he fired a gun at a sioux city police officer on february 7th. "i would advise you now that you now that you are not required to make a statement and any statement you do make may be used against you during trial. sir do you have any questions to the court at this time about your charges or your bond? mothershed: "no."he was also arrested in july of last year

but he was later released and those charges were dismissed. now, are learning more about the violent crimes committed over the last 3 months.. according to court documents, on january 29 mothershed entered a home in the 2200 block of pierce street where he allegedly stole guns and pistol whipped the victim forcing him to open a safe that contained several guns. that spree continued, on february 5th he he broke into a residence with a crowbar in the 4500 block of polk street where he was confronted by the homeowner and mothershed shot out the back window of the home to escape and fired a shot at a women. february 6th, he lured a victim to valley park apartments, and held her at gunpoint..then on february 7th, he pulled a 40-caliber handgun, shooting officer ryan moritz on the inner thigh of his left leg.mothershed's charges, each a class b felony, carry a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison. "i do have to advise you that if convicted of those charges, mothershed would be required to serve 70-percent
