convenient stores talks about efforts to prevent more credit card skimmers from showing up. the dream maybe over for the owner of a popular plymouth county recreational facility thanks to a series of complaints received by county officials. the board of adjustment sited of series of complaints in voting unanimously to deny a new permit. >> a news reporter jaclyn driscoll spoke with both sides this afternoon. what's the next step for this business? >> i spoke with the owner who says he's shocked by the decision and says he needs the public's help to turn this around. sitting outside the city limits, pipe dream camping and tubing has been serving up summer fun for seven years. but they're facing closure after they were unanimously

would only revisit the decision if bradshaw designs a safety plan for the facility. the board photoed bradshaw could appeal the decision in plymouth county district court. they're looking for a good probono lawyer. two people are in custody after a police chase this afternoon north of sioux city. a county deputy attempted to pull over a driver. the resulting chase reached speeds of more than 90 miles per hour. stop sticks failed to end the chase. a deputy rammed the vehicle at the junction of 75 and county road c 80. >> we utilized a pit maneuver when he came off the highway and made a turn. speeds got safe enough that one of the deputies used his squad car and struck the rear end of his causing him to lose traction and go off into the ditch. >> both the driver and the

51-year-old donald king is facing a long list of charges, including possession of meth and attempt to deliver. he's being held in the wood berry county jail on $118,000 bond. a 31-year-old female was also arrested. charges against her are pending. students and staff in a school district got unexpected time off this morning just after 9:00 a.m. the clay central everly school building in everly was evacuated after a bomb threat was found in a bathroom stall in the school. the building was secure and quartenned off allowing the police department's bomb k9 to clear that building. that search was completed without any explosion assistives being found. the plymouth county sheriff is explaining the circumstances that led to accused killer jonathan appearing at his plea hearing in a wheelchair. in a statement, mike says that he has been receiving treatment

separate falls. the first on september 27th of last year, resulted in an unspecified minor injury. the second on october 2nd happened when he lost his balance in his cell and fell hitting his head on the bad. that injury required hospitalization and follow up treatments. he pled guilty to second-degree murder in the death of his elderly mother. covey's convenient store is adding safety measures. a skimming devise us with found at the gas station next to the sam's club. the business was concerned for customers when they found the device. they're using safety tape as their main source of protection. >> we're watching all our locations. if you notice on the gas dispensers, we have security tape on there. you can see the f if the dispenser has been tampered with. >> there's a serial number

when the warm up is headed our way in a few minutes. moving to one building, currently the clerk's office is split between the courthouse and the county law enforcement center across the street. this proposal would have all staff members in just the courthouse and it would allow existing lec offices to be used for things like extra jail space. the district court administrator lisa mcneil says this move would be the best. >> the word today is collaboration for effectiveness. and we're all responsible for trying to collaborate for the best possible outcome so we could have all of our clerk operation in the courthouse. >> the emily rau is estimated to cost roughly roughly $100,000. but that doesn't include costs to renovate the courthouse space.

the cost of the project will be just over 3.5 million with the fire department and the city of orange city making up the difference. the department says the station is too small as is. the poles will be open until 8:00 tonight in orange city. and we hope to have results tonight at 10:00. it's the biggest day of the 2016 primary season thus far. super tuesday has millions of voters in about a dozen states make their voices heard. craig boswell has the latest as their make their case for those last minute votes. donald trump stepped off his private plane and singled out his closest republican rivals at a raleigh tuesday. >> ideal with rubio. ideal with cruz. these guys don't know anything. they have no clue what's going on. >> of the dozen sates on the super tuesday map. trump is leading in all but one.

plenty of cloud cover in the forecast for wednesday and thursday. over night we'll see the cloud cover pick back up. a late mix possible wednesday into thursday. and then we push aside the clouds and look for plenty of sunshine toward the end of the week. temperatures pushing back in the mid 60s. chance of rain monday night and maybe a couple thunderstorms by tuesday. we'll keep our eyes on that. satellite and radar imagery from this morning, cloud cover pushing toward the southeast, leaving behind sunshine across south dakota and nebraska. you work your way in the southeast corner of siouxland, and we'll see a few clouds this afternoon. high pressure will eventually kickoff toward the east. that will bring back a southerly wind for the most part tonight. by wednesday morning, cloud cover hanging around. it's going to be there throughout the afternoon. through the late afternoon and evening, still the possibility of moisture, a little bit of rain possibly mixing in with a little snow through the over night hours. you saw the snow quickly

portions of the area. still plenty of cloud cover, we'll probably tap into a northeast wind that will keep our temperatures cooler on thursday. so upper 40s tomorrow. lower 40s on thursday. and then we'll see everything clear out. and that means what we'll look for is plenty of sunshine for the end of the week. snowfall accumulation by wednesday into thursday, you can see maybe as much as an inch around sheldon. it doesn't look like we'll see a lot of accumulation in terms of snow across the western portions of the area. in sioux city, 25 degrees under mostly sunny skies. north/northwest winds at 10 miles per hour. relative humidity at 55%. temperatures this afternoon, very chilly. 17 at spencer. temperatures are going to go down for the most part this evening. 17 degrees in sioux city. we'll see a little cloud cover over night. a cold night for sure. and then for tomorrow, we'll warm it back up. 47 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.

the cherokee girls are making their first appearance since 2a in 2005. it was gut check time. with three minutes to play, the off bound shot, we're tied. the freshman had 19. cherokee fending off a come back. slaughter puts him up by three. a little over a minute and a half to go. kaylee would not be denied. three point lead for the braves. less than 30 seconds to go. cherokee by one. up ahead. the green devils had to score. peyton ruled the clutch steel. she's fouled. heads to the free throw line. steps up and ices it. hits both free throws. cherokee is on to the semifinals. they combined for 64 points. this game set a new class 3a record for combined points.
