firefighters trained in freezing water. yesterday they had to rotate so cold. there is a little bit of snow starting in the fort collins area and it is pretty chilly as you get ready for a long holiday weekend. stacy donaldson is here for mike. it is cold out there. >> it is cold, it is just now starting to come down across the planes but the snow is fighting the dryer and lower levels of the atmosphere. it will be few and far between but we have a winter weather advisory in effect for northern and central mouutains from 3-6 inches of snowfall total but it looks great out there although it is called. we have lows in the teens and will talk more abouttthe broncos forecast and other chances of snow in a few minutes.

colorado, they found debris over half a mile long. they were able to find some human remains. the people who were on board have not been identified. it held up to six people and was headed to granby. a double murder suspect accused of kidnapping his daughters is in custody. deputies say they found him and his two young children and his car. the mother and another person were found dead. the children are now in protective custody. we know the police officer who was hit last night had his patrol lights and sirens on. a woman from fort collins hit the officer driving north on i

a repeat dui offender will spend the next 20 years behind bars. he led police on a dangerous chase. that 42-year-old from falcon was heading south hitting curbs and ended up crashing into another vehicle. his tire blew out and he ended up getting tased after he finally stopped. he apologized to the men he had. >> forgive what i did. there is no excuse for what i did to drive at those speeds, i'm so sorry. >> he could have spent 32 years in prison but prosecutors say

he received. for teenagers are in custody and they are accused of leading this crash. they are being held on investigation of auto theft. two teenagers were injured. we went to the scene to find a giant hole in the side of a local shop. officers started following the suspects and the eventually crashed here. a person was shot during a carjacking. it happened early near sheridan and kentucky. they stole a white chevy silverado and the person who was shot is expected to be okay. an officer who was injured is getting a big honor. tony lopez junior was promoted to sergeant. >> he walked onto the stage one
