we are starting to see a uptick in the moisture showing up for northern and central mountains. as we go through tonight and tomorrow we will see more in the way of the commission. winter weather advisory for northern and central mountains. we have a chance for light snow here in the metro area. i will talk about a timeline and what we can expect in a few minutes. back to the arapahoe high school shooting. it is still on a lot of our minds and hearts. a new report found the school's administrators dismissed warning signs that a troubled student was a threat befooe he killed a classmate and himself. >>claire davis was killed in the shooting two years ago and it took two years to get this report out. lance hernandez comb through the report. the reports say there were three major failures. format the authors say they do not want to beat up on littleton public schools but they did find failure to communicate and failure of the

failure of thinking programs. the report says the district did not use the student information system to document behavior and safety concerns. students were not trained in the a use -- the use of an anonymous recording system. there were gaps in the threat assessment process. the co-authors recommend lps user validated threat assessment process like the virginia program which emphasizes early attempts to attention and problems like bullying before they escalate into violence heger. >>in the schools where they use the virginia threat assessment they have much less bullying, they have no committed offenses from threats, and they also had reductions in display >>reporter: another recommendation is a safety plan or a safety support plan be included with any threat assessment of a student so counselors, psychologists and administrators can follow up on

on an elevated conveyor when he fell. police -- we searched and we cannot find any osha complaints. first responders have been busy the last 24 hours. the intersection of amherst and federal was closed this morning after a person was hit by a car. the car that was involved did stay on scene. there was a similar scene at colfax and a rare rea a person on a bike was seriously injured when they were hit by an suv. evergreen fire rescue for people from an suv that went down a 75 foot embankment. two people had to be airlifted. one was taken to the hospital by ambulance, one person was not injured. police tell us they think the driver of this suv was texting when they crash. they also think alcohol and drugs may have been involved in this early morning crash. the driver was the only one in the suv and was not seriously injured. say a woman broke into do

recreational center in evergreen. take a look at this picture. she used credit cards taken from the vehicles within an hour of the crime. investigators think she may be linked to a dark-colored lexus suv. in englewood a sinkhole opened up near craig hospital. the wastewater treatment plant sent a crew out to work on it. that area of clarkson has been closed all day. wheatridge fire department could be merging with the best -- metro fire protection district. this comes after a merger between englewood and denver fire department. the fire department already been on each other for fire and. the consolidation will help firefighters be more efficient, expand or service and avoid cost. the black lives matter group made their voices heard at today's mlk march.
