8 there were tense parents lined up on this sidewalk waiting for answers. within the last hour they were allowed inside of the school. this is video of parents going into the school. police are still requiring parents to pick up their kids with a photo i even though the lockout has been lifted. the issue has been resolved but they would not say what the threat was. parents say they heard it and saw it on facebook. >> everyone was saying there was a threat from a kid on another school. police talked with a student at the school. a possible bomb involved, we are not really sure. that is why the school was put on lockdown. -- lockout. >> reporter: the lockout has now been lifted. parents are required to show a

jessica beleskey denver7. who can forget this, when the broncos won their last super bowl, riots in downtown denvee. officers had to use spray. while we look for the same outcome, denver police do not want to see this happen again. lance hernandez joins us now. police said they will be ready for the rowdy crowds.>> reporter: they say they are preparing for a va scenarios. they won't say how they are preparing. they did say they would be out in force amongst the fans, not separate from the. today denver police rick -- released several videos showing some fans celebrating responsibly and some doing the opposite. their goal is to make sure that everyone celebrate safely. they are asking business owners to serve drinks in plastic, not glass and to bring in patio furniture so that it doesn't get hurled by someone in a melee . >> if someone isscaught committing property damage, they will be arrested.

this fire was hard to miss this afternoon as black smoke billowed into the air. it was near quincy and kipling at a ental lab. you can see the big plume of smoke. no one was injured. the fire department is still trying to figure out how it started. drug overdoses are being called an epidemic. listen to the staggering number , 900 people died in 2014 from overdoses. denver has some of the worst numbers in the country. >> reporter: take a look at this map which shows how big of a problem this is around the entire state the darker counties show the biggest increases, denver and adams county. some of the biggest concern is in the southern, more remote parts of the state. >> i think it is fair to say that this is an epidemic. >> reporter: if you want a glimpse on how much drug- related deaths have gone up in
