at hillary clinton. abc's paula faris is there. good morning, paula. >> reporter: good evening, reena and kendis. the trump camp tells us they're extremely happy and the things that stood out to them, the number of first time voters and crossover voter who's voted for donald trump on super tuesday. the significance of the fact that he had this at his headquarters in florida cannot be lost on anyone. florida is marco rubio's home state. they vote two weeks from today and right now trump has a commanding lead over marco rubio. trump also referencing his significant ties to the state of florida, the fact he had this event, his campaign headquarters at the mira lago club, which he owns. though this was a big night for donald trump, he's got his sights set on the next couple of weeks. >> hillary clinton was propelled to victory by democrats looking for political experience. >> clinton secured big wins in all the southern states up for grabs and she picked up the

>> there was actually a very conservative influential group likely going to endorse ted cruz. how much of a blow could that be to his campaign? there are people talking he could be put in for the next race for florida governor possibly. so there's already buzz about that but how long can he stay in? people waiting to find out. >> one of the things rick klein who we're going to have in one of the half hours was mentioning that it really was an awful night for marco rubio. for one thing, in texas, he might not have won a single delegate. the same story possible in tennessee and oklahoma. they're still counting but if he didn't make that 20% threshold, he might not have picked up a single delegate in those states. that's really a big deal. >> exit polls showing what republicans want is someone with a fresh set of eyes, more of an outsider, not a washington insider, someone who's been entrenched in the political system like marco rubio,
