she took driving the kids very seriously. that is the husband of a school bus driver who lost her life at a crash at denver international airport. for the first time he is talking about a heartbreak of losing his wife. >> the team was coming back from playing in califoonia. three coaches at this hour are still recovering with significant injuries. >> we have team coverage fo husband. russell haythorn is out at the airport show us the confusion. first mark doyle gives us the report of what happened and what kids are saying today at school. >> reporter: it's a difficult time for kids at the school that look up to these teachers and coaches. everyone is left with one big question. jesse was on bus number two when he and other teammates

>> bus to left and bus one way around. we kept going straight and then on the speaker they said turnaround bus number one crashed. >> reporter: the team was returning from a football game in california when investigators say bus number one driven by 43-year-old kerry chopper left e terminal with players on board only to return to the terminal minutes later where she ran into a garage support pillar. >> my questions scene is why? do we know why that occurred? nobody is certain. >> reporter: the report says she died from blunt force injuries but we would never know if the medical emergency led to the crash. all players on the bus have been released from hospital's the coaches are still getting treatment. >> diesel when i looked up to.

that headquarters where she worked. direction loved being a bus driver. she had no known medical issues and the district said she passed her last physical in may. i just spoke to her husband and he describes a devoted wife of 22 years. a loving mother of four and grandmother of one who started driving a bus to supplement their family income. she was also a professional cake decooator. she loved it -- de bus for occasions. the family learned about the crash from text messages from her students. they don't understand what happened but they said she would never intentionally put what she called her kids in harms way. >> when they were on her bus they were her kids. they all knew that. the all-new that that was mom to them. >> reporter: friends of the family have started a gofundme

regis university students tell us the campaign parking at school even though they are paying $400 a year. now parking is not just a student problem. >> reporter: nearly everyone we talked to hear a regis university tells me they've had campus area. regis tells me that he -- they have recently implemented a system that it is not working for everyone. when college senior nick the pollen is driving to regis university schoolwork is not on his mind. >> i go to school 20 or 30 minutes i had just a driver on the block trying to find a way -- a place to park. >> reporter: he did not pay for the $400 parking permit.
